12 oz bottle from Binnys (Naperville, IL). Split with the missus. Pours a straw pale yellowish hue, some gentle haze, stark light edges and body. A small frothy whitish head atop dies to a mellow film, light lacing, with a small ring remaining. Aromas are fairly light, some gentle cereal and bready malt, kiss of earth, gentle staleness. A bit underwhelming. Initial is lighter bodied, offering bready and cereal malts, gentle grass. Fairly clean and light, perhaps a bit watery into the middle. Gentle corn, cereal grains, bread and gentle sweetness, kiss of fruit. Dryness, a bit of spice, mellow bland qualities with a bit of paper into the finish. Overall, it’s underbodied and a bit watery, lacks flavor even for the style. Meh, pass almost every time. Comparable to most Macro Lagers, perhaps it has a slight edge over those. burg326 (5594) - Florida, USA - AUG 2, 2012
12 ounce bottle bought at Binney’s in Bollingbrook, poured a light clear yellow color, aromas of grain, apples, and some adjuncts. Flavors are the same, not that great of a beer, but I have had worse... dsilvashy (24) - - JUL 14, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 16, 2012 It would be hard to express how disappointed I am with this beer. The price was extremely misleading. I use Budweiser as my default 2.5 comparison beer, which isn’t an impressive beer in itself, but this beer actually makes it seem like the "king." This beer poured like any cheap beer I can buy,and smelled like urine. Taste was on the same level. Very upset with this one. wlajwl (7009) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUN 26, 2012
Aroma is grass and apples and the appearance looks kind of like a pale golden cider. The flavor is grain sweetness mixed with a mild apple tartness. Had better, had worse. Vir4030 (603) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Pours a very light yellow with little head. Aroma is light, but flavor has the canonical lager bite. I suppose that’s good.

12oz bottle 3/31/12 (Trader Joe’s Naperville)-44° in Lager Glass-Pours a light clear golden with a small white ring for a head. Aroma of sweetness, malt, and light hops. Taste of the same with a bit more hops. This light bodied brew was not bad and I was expecting worse. Would be a great mowing the lawn kinda brew. rubbishystuff (2537) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 1, 2012
At Shoeless Joes. Better than many macros but not a lot better. Some sweet maltiness. Some adjuncts maybe? Serving: Bottle Scipio (1179) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - FEB 28, 2012
Bottle. Clear and watery in appearance. No real detectable odor. Think of a glorified lite beer. jgb9348 (6434) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 19, 2012
Clear golden coloured body with a honey glow and a few bubbles rising from the bottom with a two centimetre tall just of-white head. Aroma of light malt, a small amount of saaz or relatively lower alpha acid hops, some citrus and a faint hint of sugars noticeable. Light-bodied; Very watery flavour at first with a touch of malt and body later on in the taste. Aftertaste shows some citrus, a little hop nugget and a touch of sweetness at the end. Overall, not a great beer, but nothing bad - just a bit muted and about par for the course on this style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Chicago (Ontario St), Illinois on 03-December-2011 for US$1.50 sampled at home in Washington on 19-January-2012. naivepegasus (388) - USA - NOV 27, 2011
From Trader Joe’s. Pours a very clear straw yellow with about a finger of stark white head. Looks distressingly macro. Hay in the odor, not much else. There’s really nothing to the flavor- it’s inoffensive with a light sweetness...it’s better than the standard macro lager, but just barely, and not by enough to warrant the price.
