Pours a semi-clear apricot color with a fairly large frothy white head. Aroma is apricot, honey, coriander, grass, resin, apple. Taste is apricot, honey, coriander, green apple, caramel, hints of toffee and banana. Mouthfeel is crisp and medium carbonated with some tartness. Quite good.

Sampled in a bomber. Overall a decent brew but lacked a real punch. Expected more from the anniversary ale.

Okolicznosciowe trapistowskie ale na 150 rocznice zalozenia browaru. Elegandzka lakierowana butelka z zielona i tez lakierowana oplotka, firmowym naturalnym korkiem. Wysokie wysycenie, wystrzal z hukiem, spora i rosnaca w oczach piana, kolor lekko metny zolto zloty. Zapach intensywny, kolendra i inne przyprawy wyczuwalne, alkohol ukryty, a jedynie finisz o nim przypomina, smak tresciwe i orzezwiajace, bogactwo drozdzowo-slodowe. Polecam to limitowane piwo.

750ml bottle from (I think) beermerchants, shared at home. Pours hazy yellow with a big white head. Aromas of light spice, yeast, oranges and cream, something sweet. Taste has herbs and sweet honey notes. Wow. A lot going on. Bitter linger. Creamy texture. Clean finish. Ace beer.

Butters (4059) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - DEC 6, 2013
Sampled side by side by side with the other chimays. Very similar in to the blue label. Smells of alcohol and perfume. Raisin and plum and the typical cardboardy yeast strain. Maybe this will get better with age the same way that the blue does. But its not all that amazing right now.

Shared with a friend last July. Bottle dated 1862-2012. Big cork pop. Aroma of bread yeast, lime, lemon rind, banana marangue. Significant carbonation and big mouthfeel. Flavor of black pepper, bread yeast, funky esters. Overall big, complex, very flavorful and rich.

At Tux. Bottled, 221113. Golden with white head. Aroma floral with some malt. Flavor with esters, yeast, alcohol sweetness and some wheat.

@ Silenzi: en kryddig men lite spritig doft. Kryddig men ändå len smak och en kanske lite för het eftersmak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from unknown source. Pours yellow with an of pillowy white foam. Has a bit of perfumed ness on the nose. A bit of crisp apple on the tongue. Hides its alcohol very well. Quaffable but not really exciting me.
