DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Bottle from unknown source. Pours yellow with an of pillowy white foam. Has a bit of perfumed ness on the nose. A bit of crisp apple on the tongue. Hides its alcohol very well. Quaffable but not really exciting me.

magsinva (1250) - Virginia, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Bottle from ?? - pours cloudy golden with a thick, pillowy head. Aroma is biscuit and booze, not much of the added spices. Overall, solid.

caesar (7156) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - OCT 28, 2013
Bottled, large sample. Slight hazy golden color, short frothy white head. Aroma of orange, tangerine, citrus, slight spicy yeast. Very fruity, much more fruity than the original. Quite sweet in taste, alcohol is hardly noticeable. Not that dry. Quite nice. I read a lot of people thought it was very spicy, but my bottle was way more fruity than spicy (and Im glad for that!).

Très bonne bière blonde à 10°, consistante et au goût prononcé, puissant, particulier et agréable légèrement citronné, peu amère. Mousse fine, tenue raisonnable. Couleur jaune pâle, claire. Bière pour apéritif, vite rassasiante. Bouteille assez jolie, couleur ambre.

BillWyce (1086) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2013
From notes: Pours clear straw color with a 2-finger off-white head. Aroma of honey and earthy yeast with notes of grass and spice. Body is medium, with a mild thickness and a lightly astringent finish. Flavor has a grassy note mixed with earthy yeast, and a light spice note. Perhaps a touch of citrus also.

gyllenbock (9177) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 20, 2013
Bottle from Systembolaget, bought in September 2012. 109 SEK for the bottle. Hazy golden/yellow with a firm white head. Sweet with quite a lot of spices, mostly cardemom and coriander. Also malt, toffee, some lime and dried fruit. Not bad but a glas was enough.

banii (240) - Sola, NORWAY - OCT 17, 2013

priscoppi (24) - - SEP 27, 2013
Bottled. Pours light amber in color with a whitish head. A bit of bready notes, some yeasty spicyness and light herbal notes in aroma. Feels dry. Dark sweet bready notes in taste, some spices too. A bit of biscuit towards the end.

75cl bottle into tulip. Overall: A good offering, but not significantly better than that standard chimay range. Apparenace: Golden in color, hazy, beautiful white head. Aroma: Wheat/biscuit. Spicy. Taste: Dry, slightly bitter. Palate: Well carbonated in typical chimay style. Fairly long finish. medium body.
