Cor de mel, ligeiramente turva. Espuma abundante de longa duração. Aroma cítrico e floral. Sabor herbáceo, medianamente ácido, com toques de baunilha, laranja e cardamomo. Retrogosto amargo com final cítrico.

Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is hazy yellow colored and has a large and stable white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is malty, with also tones of hops and spices. Also little notes of orange peels and coriander are noticable. The taste is light bodied with a light bitterness, notes of hops and spices and in the background a nice fruitiness with citrus is noticable. The finish is light dry and bitter.

0,33 bottle. Pours hazy straw color with large white, fully lasting head. Complex aroma of yeast, fruits, citrus, vanilla, cacao. Flavor is very smooth and balanced, light to medium sweet, light bitter, spicy. Finish is dry. Medium body, lively carbonation, oily texture. Perfect beer. Very drinkable.

bottle - Pours hazy straw colored with a lingering off-white head. The aroma is of yeast, coriander, and citrus with a trace of funk. The flavor is sweet and spicy. It’s refreshing and has very lively carbonation. The distinctive yeast adds an enjoyable complexity to a very easy drinking beer. It finishes dry. Very well done.

wow, had always wanted this, stumbled on it at the whip, drank thanksgiving 2015, 4pm .. . uplifting aroma, sweet hay and cereal, pink yeast, bee stung cat nose .. . light and airy, full yet refined, perfect balance .. . this is near perfection for a Belgian beer. .. i want this in my life forever, amazingly well made beer! .. . . I’m not always available, but if you say my name three times and twist the neck off a sparrow, I will appear and complain about the weather.

4.8%ABV. Belgian Ale. Poured out an amber. 16ºSRM. Nose is lavender and sweet malt. Also has wet plaster and formic acid tang. Reminiscent of a Delirium Tremens. Mouthfeel is sudsy. Palate has malted wheat type flavors, no hops and a little sour.

3.3
ChainGangGuy (4941) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - NOV 24, 2015
10 ounce pour - $8.00 at Trappeze Pub in Athens, Georgia.

Appearance: Served up a near clear, yellow-gold body with a white, foaming head.

Smell: Hmm. Smells a little like a top-shelf soap. What’s wrong with some humble Kroger-bought 10 for $10 Softsoap? Cereal-scented malts, lemon peel and aromatic fresh-cut flowers.

Taste: A light touch of pils malts, scantly cereal-esque and hay-hinting. Medium level of sweetness had. Some citrus, some spicy phenols and varying petals. As with the aroma, it’s predominately lemony and soapy. Modestly bitter. Drying, lightly crisp finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: Well, I was hoping for something bright, light and refreshing. Instead, got some old lady soap. Disappointing, considering it’s a Chimay release.
