Hazy pale golden with lots of sparkling in Chimay glass and nice long creamy whitr dense rocky head. Looks great. Belgian yeast, european fruity, sweet, grapes, apple. Medium nody but full soft feel, semisweet, slight sourness, long fruity finish, light spicyces and herbs as mentionef before. Classic but not best Chimay.

Bottle from some random Vinmonopol enjoyed at home
A slooooow gusher. Pours pale golden with a small haze, and a big white head. Smell of spices, fruity yeast esters, hints of champagne, light malts and a touch of herbs. Moderate sweet, spicy start, then light fruity flavors and alot of fruit peel, a touch of herbs before the hop bitterness kicks in. A very pleasent abbey beer. It’s light and spicy, highly drinkable and quite refreshing

Draught @ De Klep, Venlo. Pours hazy light amber with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of hops, citrus and spices, possibly coriander. Mild, slightly peppery flavour, with notes of hops and citrus and estery touches. Very soft carbonation. Bitter aftertaste. An okay refreshment on a hot evening but otherwise not very impressive.

Looks like a golden beer indeed. Fresh taste of fruity yeast, hops and some citra or other acidic fruit. Tasty beer.

TET (2790) - Kaarina, FINLAND - JUL 18, 2014
A dark yellow beer with a big and blond head. The nose is aromatic and sophisticated, fruits, lemon, corianter, some perfume and spices. Taste is fruitful and spicy, coriander, orange peel, flowers. Medium bodied, strong carbonation. Interesting, strongly aromatic beer with some witbier’s nuancees. Good beer as could be expected.

July 2014 - Keg at the White Horse Richmond. Hazy yellow, still, foamy white head. Aroma is wheaty, orange, lemon, car air freshner. Body is medium, spritzy. Taste is wheaty, bubblegum ester, musty, light bitter finish. (3.5)

Sep 2014 - Keg. My notes are similar to last time. Bit more watery this time, I thought. (3.4)

Bottle from Desmond’s Next Door, Kimmage, Dublin [130714]
Light blonde, slight haze, frothy white head
Aroma - aromatic, perfumy, floral, soft spicy, soft orange
Taste of soft yeast esters, soft spicy, light orange, floral, light sweet pale malts, flavour is delicate but what’s there is good
Palate - medium carb, very thin watery body, soft sweet. Finish as main flavour.
Overall - Nice and refreshing, flavour is light with a watery texture. Unlike the other Chimay beers. Comes across as a table beer.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. A very spicy aroma of hops and yeast. The flavor is very smooth; banana esters, loads of yeast, very spicy. Fresh and nice
