A very good dark beer. The cask flavor is definitely present with some oakiness. The blue reserve is even better. Good color and creamy head.

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Clear, deep, ruby red. Tight, creamy, lasting, beige head. Stunning looking beer. Nose has the full works, date, fig and prune. Bit of toffee apple. Milk chocolate. Hazelnut and walnut. Wow. Taste is sweet, nutty and chocolatey sweet. Some vinous, woody, oaky dryness. Silky mouthfeel. Rich and full bodied, without being at all boozy. Fruity, chocolatey, vinous, and lightly estery on the finish.
