Oakes (19714) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 18, 2018
Chestnut brown, with haziness. Medium head. The aroma shows soft fruits, with a touch of brown sugar, fig, a little bit boozy. Moderately fizzy, deep fruits, blast of alcohol and sweetish barrel. Again the soft fruits, figs, maybe a touch of dates. I like it – a big variant of Chimay Blue. The base beer is still good, though not the most complex of its type. The aging adds some nice elements but it's not spectacular by any means.

Bottle - Dark fruit and toffee. Deep Amber with a rich beige head. Dark and sweet, dark fruit, cherry pit and some barrel.

750ml bottle at Josh's on his 20k party. Pours a hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruits, figs, caramel. Similar taste with some oak notes. Quite good.

mcberko (20487) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 18, 2018
750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Nose brings out dark dried fruits, wood, Belgian yeast, and caramel bready malt. Flavour is fairly dry and woody, with Belgian yeast, caramel and dark dried fruits. Aggressively but fittingly carbonated. Not as good as the regular, but it’s very good.

ansalon (4325) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - DEC 24, 2017
Pours dark amber with a low tan head. Aromas of caramel, figs, dates, rye bread, toffee. Taste is caramel and toffee with marinated fruit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Maakun (7101) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 23, 2017
Bottle sampled at Rootz festival. Hazy dark amber with quite some yeast floating aroma nd and long lasting creamy beige head. Sweet apples, sweet malts, sugary, light roast, plums, dust, alcohol, caramel. Over medium sweet, light bitter and a hint of sourness. Almost full bodied.

A very good dark beer. The cask flavor is definitely present with some oakiness. The blue reserve is even better. Good color and creamy head. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Garrold (6030) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2017
Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Clear, deep, ruby red. Tight, creamy, lasting, beige head. Stunning looking beer. Nose has the full works, date, fig and prune. Bit of toffee apple. Milk chocolate. Hazelnut and walnut. Wow. Taste is sweet, nutty and chocolatey sweet. Some vinous, woody, oaky dryness. Silky mouthfeel. Rich and full bodied, without being at all boozy. Fruity, chocolatey, vinous, and lightly estery on the finish.
