Aroma is sweet plums and lightly sweeitsh malts. Alchol is there in a dried fruity disguise. Taste is actually pretty thin, at least a lot thinner than I expected - but sweet raisins and plums comes forward as the main providers here. Caramel and a slight hint of alcohol joins in after a while before a low bitter ending. I'm not picking up that much of the rum taste here, and I think it's rather thin as well. A pleasant sipper though.

Mahogany color, small beige head. Aromas of yeast, brown sugar, ripe bananas, rum, dried fruit and spices. Sweet and spicy taste with alcohol, rum spices, brown sugar, overripe bananas and wood. A bit too much alcohol in the taste/finish.

alteregoo (1749) - Kalisz, POLAND - NOV 19, 2017
Miedziane, opalizujące, z solidną, mydlana pianą. W zapachu rodzynki, figi, dębina, rum... W smaku lekko słodkie, suszone owoce, karmel, miód i rum.

Enormous thanks Janac for sharing this with us! Misty amber-red body. Rhum is very evident in the dry, creamy, woody aroma, with notes of dried fruit. Well balanced equilibrium between the woodiness and the fruity / malty notes in the taste. Quite drinkable for the abv and the style. Needs some finetuning perhaps, but this was definitely a well executed beer.

Looks wonderful! Aroma is spices, vanilla, red berries, yeast, and rum. Some candy also. Smooth, spicy taste, containing toast, vanilla, messmör, chocolates, and hazel nut. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375ml corked and caged in a brown classic thick bottle with embossed text, poured into a Trappist goblet. Appearance is murky dark brown with a light brown small head that dissipated quickly leaving no lacing. Aroma of figs, raisins, overripe banana, dried apricots, brown sugar, vanilla, oak wood notes, liquorice and a hint of rum. Taste is medium-heavy sweet and medium bitter. Palate is full bodied, smooth texture and soft carbonation. Chimay Grande Réserves are always good this is maybe the best I have had, different from the other ones I have had with a clear presence of rum aromas.
