COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chimay Tripel, with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer’s flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz (beer-pages.com/protz/features/chimay.htm) and John White (www.whitebeertravels.co.uk/chimay.html)

Puissate et enivrante, elle sait dépasser le cliché de la blanche fade classique, un bon standard

Golden, slightly hazy. Spicy aroma, some sweetnes. Well balanced, medium carbonated. It deserves its position as a clasic. Very nice!

Heidelbeer (40) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 18, 2017
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2017 Today i am rating one of my favorite beers.Head is creamy, off withe to beige in color, big and long lasting. Beer is unclear dark, milky yellow. Aroma is intense, herbal, floral, orange, soap, yeast, coriander, bubble gum and a some pepper. Unusual and complex. Flavor is full, sweet, bitter, sour, wheat, herbal, yeast. Very multi-layered and all sensation at once. Finish is first low sweet turning into a strong bitter, herbal and yeasty long lasting finish. Carbonation is average and refreshing. A beer to enjoy from the beginning to the end!

Aus der Flasche getrunken (Händlerlieferung). Fast klares Gold im Glas mit stabiler starker weißer Schaumkrone. In der Nase typisch "belgisch". Kräftig im Körper mit erst spät durchschlagendem Alkohol.
