COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chimay Tripel, with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterised by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The beer’s flavour, as sensed in the mouth, comes from the smell of hops: above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. There is no acidity, but an after-bitterness which melts in the mouth. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hop extract and yeast. See Protz (beer-pages.com/protz/features/chimay.htm) and John White (www.whitebeertravels.co.uk/chimay.html)

Skvělý tripel, hodně podobný tomu Karmelietu, nicméně ten mi chutnal více. I tomuto ale pivu nejde nic moc co vytknout, skvělý říz, aroma po ovsi a banánu a hustá pěna.

Bottle. Honey-golden color, snow-white foam. Aroma: champagne, shades of honey, golden malt, fruit esters (pear, quince, melon), a little citrus, floral hop, perfume, higher alcohols. Taste: light malt sweetness, fresh honey, fruits, creamy toffee, bitter almonds and apple seeds, a light citrus sour, bitter finish.

Aroma citrico, sabor de pão, menos adocicado do que tripel comum. Restrogosto leve, cítrico. Boa demais.

SlackerMads (3479) - DENMARK - AUG 12, 2017
Bottle. Hazy golden with a large off white head with good retention, lace and regeneration. Pleasant nose with dry grass, hay, honey and flowers. The flavour follows the nose with hay, dry grass, dry flowers and herbs. Medium to full body, relatively mild sweetness and fairly bitter. Long dry finish with dry flowers and herbal notes. Pretty good, perhaps slightly rough in places.

Chimay Tripel pours a beautiful hazy amber color with an impressively long-lived white head. The dense bouquet is filled with floral, citric, brightly fruity, doughy, and spicy yeast aromas, while the malts unfold creamy caramel and biscuit. The malt notes of caramel and biscuit carry over to the front palate, followed by a complex transition through a collection of spices, tropical fruits, assorted flowers, and citrus into the long zesty orange and alcoholic off-dry finish. The full body has a nice fluffy mouthfeel and crisp, lively carbonation. Kudos to you, monks of Chimay, this beer is nigh perfect.

Pours hazy, deep golden with a 2-finger white head. Tastes of banana & clove. It’s medium to full bodied with lively carbonation.
