Pours cloudy dark copper with white foamy head. Aroma of sweet rye, caramel, hay, Belgian yeast and some spice. Taste is initially sweet caramel and spiciness then switches over to slightly bitter rye. Long rye slightly bitter finish. Very nice Fatehunter (2561) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Hazy copper color with a thick three fingers of head.
Smells like day-old bread, plum, overripe banana and pine.
Bold malt profile. Stays fairly non-sweet. A little bread, rye, sharp lemon.
A foamy texture with moderate carbonation.
I loved it. Great looking, smelling and tasting. Decently complex without being overbearing. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - SEP 25, 2012

Aroma: Nose of Belgian yeast, spice, some funk, a little bit of rye malts, grass, pepper, and a little fruit
Appearance: This one pours a cloudy golden orange color with a half inch sheet of beige head that really doesn’t ever seem to dissipate and some fairly heavy, sheeting lacing on the glass as well
Flavor: This one has a lot of funky/yeasty flavors up-front, there is also some light rye whiskey, with an a underlying sweetness, and a spicy, slightly tart, and mildly bitter finish
Palate: The body is medium-full, it is smooth and creamy, with a soft carbonation, and a lightly dry finish
I liked this one quite a bit. Not everything about it works perfectly, but it is a pretty good effort, and a nice collaboration. I’m glad I got to try this one, it is right up there with the best things I have had from Choc.
Location/Date: Bottle on August 18th, 2012 split with Dave.

Appearance: Pours a dark orange cloud..
Aroma: Aroma of pepper, rye.
Taste: The spice and sweetness of a saison with a light amount of rye.
Palate:Light body, slick, quick finish.
Summary: First off, thanks to Ben for getting me this beer. I really liked this take on a saison by adding rye(which I like in lots of beers).
Bottle courtesy of Beerandblues2, thanks! Cloudy golden amber color, small but thick white head. Aroam of white pepper and dusty straw. Taste is very softly sour and peppery hay. BeerandBlues2 (13214) - Escondido, California, USA - APR 14, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a medium, fizzy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is earthy rye malt with earthy and herbal hops, barnyard yeast and toast malt with pear and apple esters. Flavor is rye malt dominant with light hops and bitterness, barnyard yeast, fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. jesperhammer (4727) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 7, 2012
27-AUG-2012, bottle @Papsø.
Hazy orange with off-white head.
Saison-like spice aroma.
Taste is much more rye and malt. The rye has taken some of the freshness from the saison.
Rye bread and spice. Better on aroma than taste.
High carbonation. faroeviking (10842) - FAROE ISLANDS - SEP 13, 2012
Botella. Unclear amber colour. Malty rye caramel bit fruity like pleasant aroma. Good mouthfeel. Flavour of malt, rye, some fruit and yeast, sweet like. gururyan (726) - Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA - OCT 15, 2012
Enjoyed a bomber with a friend on the patio after catching Jack White at Cain's Ballroom. It was a long night, all I remember is rating this and waiting to add comments later. I should have added comments then.
