3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
2011 vintage. Hazy copper blonde pour into thick foamy head that slowly dissipates into a sticky curtain of lingering lacing that melts into a heavy pool of foam. Aroma of lemony citrus, yeasty biscuit dough, and toasty malt. Initial flavor of lemon peel, peach brandy, and piney hop that fades into a peppery finish.
Bottle. Poured hazy orange with a medium-sized head. Aroma was yeasty, earthy, light hops, some caramel. Flavor was light Belgian notes -- some banana, bubblegum, and earthiness -- and a mild IPA. Nice but forgettable. OKplus (788) - Oklahoma, USA - FEB 14, 2013
Serving type: bottle
A - Pours a turbid dark burnt orange. The head is extra frothy and holds excellent retention. Larger bubbles on bottom morph into tiny bubbles on top. Stays together throughout the entire glass leaving sheets of bubbles on the sides of the glass. Gorgeous beer!
S - Apples, bubblegum, honeysuckle flower, sweet Belgian yeast, tart, heavy fruit esters.
T - Creamy mouthful. Taste of green apples, honey, Belgian yeast, white grapes, pale malt. Peppery spice in the middle. Finishes with mild citrus hops that are very crisp and dry.
Let this one warm up for the hops to come through properly. This beer defiantly seems to be less than 7.85% ABV. The alcohol never really came out in the smell or flavor. I don’t have alot of experience with this style but from the ones I’ve tried, they seem to be all over the place. This is one of the best I’ve tasted.
I love that these 2 breweries came together to make this beer.
It would be cool to see more collaboration like this.
Thank you Choc & Marshall!

Pours a hazy golden/amber with a thick lt tan head...nice retention and lacing. Aroma is fruity with lt citrus...orange...and a bit of spice reminiscent of a saison. Flavor follows suit...fruity but backed up with decent bitterness and spice...a bit of a leathery note. Mouthfeel is medium and lively with a spicy/fruity finish that dries a bit.

Draft at GABF, new state! Pours an attractive deep bronze with slight haze and a fluffy/sticky head. Nose is nice. White pepper, some soft floral hops and a light malt component. On tasting, very well balanced. The bitterness and phenols work in tandem, soft ester notes as well. Light banana and soft citrus. Very solid Belgian IPA for sure. Nice. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - SEP 30, 2011
Thanks to Charlie for opening this one at the most recent Tampa tasting. Pours a hazy gold with a white head. Nose is malt, pineapple, apricot, yeast, esters, banana, and some funk. Flavor is similar with some complexities among the Belgian yeast, the citrusy hops, and some brett character. Interesting beer. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2011
This poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was belgian spices and yeast along with fruity and bitter hops. Flavor was more belgian character than IPA character. Decent collab brew but nothing special. boFNjackson (4230) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 30, 2011
