Bottle from cali store, shared with Paul. Pours a brigt hazy orange body with huge, active white head. Aroma is funky lemons and zesty yeast. Mouthfeel is soft but perfect with notes of lemon, funky citrus, yeast, spelt and some Brett (maybe). czar (9338) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 13, 2013
pours hazy light yellow with a nice white cap, good retention and lacing. leathery bretts, white wine, dust, citrus, lemons, rustic malts and other cereals, bit of dirt, grass and herbs. lively yet soft carbonation, light body - oily, bone-dry bretty and herbal-grassy finish - superb mouthfeel. very rustic, dry and refreshing offering. excellent! Corked bottle and served in a Duvel snifter: Pours a slightly hazed golden hue with a lovely frothy head and nice lace. Once the cage was loosened the cork went flying with a loud pop that caused all the birds in the trees to take flight! It landed in the parking lot 30 feet away... so I expected a gusher but thankfully none came! Presented with a sprite carbonated beer that oh so reminds me of old days with Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga (The Firefly) before it became too wild yeastie for its own good, slightly funk’d but still plenty of juicy hop notes and a firm pale malt background. Moderately peppery as well which added a layer of complexity. cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 15, 2014
Far exceeded my expectations, yummy!
Pour is heavily hazed golden amber with a fluffy bubbly off white head. Nose is fantastic, loads of citrus, assumedly Brett, nice peppery balance and a softer Saison yeast to it. Taste is also darn good. Tons of citrus up front with a fair bit more Saison farmhouse funk to it. Gentle pepper to balance. Moderately dry finish, well carbonated and lighter body. Finish is a hint light, maybe due to strong carbonation, still awesome.

Bottled. Pours a cloudy gold, with a tremendously active foamy head. Lots of thick, soapy lacing. Sour Brett nose (pineapple). Citrusy. No hop aroma detectable. Medium mouthfeel. High level of carbonation. Tingly. Slightly astringent aftertaste. Flavor is pineapple Brett, slightly funky, lemony, tart. Very dry, almost astringent finish. No hop flavor detected. Earthy. Pretty tasty stuff. I would certainly pick this one up again. My initial reaction to the bitter aftertaste was negative, nut it grows on you as you drink it. The pineapple funk from the Brett is quite nice. I honestly don’t know what the spelt adds to the brew, thou perhaps it adds to mouthfeel and head. tom10101 (6224) - Quebec, CANADA - NOV 11, 2013
Bottle (750 ml). Shared by marheb, thanks! Hazy yellow with a small/medium white head and light lacing. Aroma is really enticing (with the Prairies Artisan Ale signature) with brettanomyces, floral notes, fruits, yeast, lemon and a touch of malt sweetness. Taste is also of brettanomyces along a good malt backbone, floral notes, fruits and yeast. Medium body. Good carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Very pleasant surprise. I think this one might be underrated. Very good spelt Saison (even though the "spelt" component isn’t really shining. Refreshing and drinkable. Prairie Artisan Ales is one of my favorite brewery this year. bluejacket74 (1993) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - DEC 23, 2013
750 ml bottle. Served in a tulip, the beer pours a hazy straw gold color with a couple inch frothy off-white head that stayed around for a long time. There’s also a good amount of lacing. The brew smells like grainy/bready malt, lemon peel, hay, apples and grassy hops. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some peppery spice, pears and earthiness. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s well carbonated, creamy and easy to drink. I liked this brew a lot, I wouldn’t mind picking up another bottle the next time I come across it. $13.99 a bottle. Really nice and funky saison. Lots of brett character comes through with very light lemony musty funky tartness. Creamy soft mouthfeel. This one is pretty great. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 17, 2014
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, hazy golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of nice biscuit, bready notes into some grass, spice, earth, touch of peach, pear, white grape, lots of nice white fruit. Taste is a mix of white fruit, grass, pine, hints of peach, pear, slight spice, earth, oak, slight biscuit, bread, finishing fairly dry, bitter. Tasty.
