Beige cloudy pour with aromas of whiskey and light tangerine. Taste is dry whiskey with leathery hop finish. Off white head lingers throughout the tasting.

Sample @ Great Arkansas Beer Fest. Hazy gold pour with a small head. Strong vanilla on the nose. Some coconut coppertone sun lotion. Taste is similar. A squeeze of suntan lotion into a blonde beer. Some woody hot rum raisin, too. Medium body, soft and slight. Strange, but not entirely unpleasant.

Golden pour (surprisingly) from 12oz bottle at home. Orange and apricot, vanillla, aroma. Taste is apricot, vanilla, orange, and a hint of chocoate and coffee, which makes it the unique beer it is. Very tasty.

Has a strong alcohol smell and a nice bitter hoppy finish. I dont really taste the bourbon. Maybe a slight vanilla chocolate flavor. Had a bottle pour at kasers pours cloudy yellow. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A - Pours a cloudy amber orange with an off white sudsy cap that clings to the edges of the glass. Solid sheets of lacing blanket the glass. Very impressive lacing and retention. It doesn’t get much better. S - Bright grapefruit flesh, fresh green leafy hops, hints of peppery spice, earthy pomegranate, orange peel, hints of wood, candy sweetness, hints of golden raisins, some yeast comes out as it sets. T - The flavor follows the nose with grapefruit flesh, sweet and bitter, bright and vibrant grapefruit with leafy green mixed in. A faint pale malt lingers in the background. Finishes with dominate grapefruit pith, bitter and dry. M - Medium body, creamy lush feel, medium carbonation, very dry finish This tastes like the base beer with extreme dryness which could be placed from wood aging. The C hops play very well off the pale malt creating citrus wonderland. World class in terms of looks, while providing a very nice mouthfeel. Wish there was a little more bourbon flavor. 12 ounce bottle. Thanks Justin! Pours a somewhat cloudy golden red with a decent off-white head. Aroma of pine, citrus, and bourbon. Taste is bourbon, pine, citrus, and malt. Interesting.

Hazy golden color with a very foamy white head. Hoppy smelling with maybe some bourbon. The overall taste is hoppy, some citrus, and maybe some bret. It’s dry through out with moderate carbonation. Not bad but I doubt I’ll buy anymore.

P: Cloudy apricot body with a creamy white head. Some specks floating around and slight effervescence streaming toward the top. S: Dry straw, toasted non sweet coconut, pine resin, clove, aged mellowed out bourbon, fresh leather and timid of tropical fruit. T/M: Dry straw and hop presence with a balanced kiss of booze. Orange peel, pilsner malts, spices, mineral water, hints of pine and astringent bourbon. Mouthfeel starts off creamy then transitions to a sparkling water feel and finishes assertively dry. O: Taste is overall pretty much bitter unlike the more juicy fruit forward nose. Although I haven’t had many bourbon aged pale ales this is the best one so far. With that said its still not a great profile IMO. The bourbon plays a supporting role to the base pale ale which is nice and decently balanced. I thought the bourbon was too grainy and lacked the sweet mash flare I was wanting.

On tap at Tapwerks. Pours a clear copper with a tan head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a light grassy hop with backing light bourbon notes and a backbone of sweet grains. Flavor is similar with light grass and bourbon with a sweet grain backbone and a touch of vanilla.
