3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 mL bottle. Dark, orange-brown, hazy pour, with a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is anise, apricots, sourdough bread, coriander, and slight apples and caramel. Fairly dry, malty, and lightly spicy. Medium body, a little syrupy, creamy, and slightly acidic. Overall, this is a very interesting, flavorful beer. Darker, thicker, and more flavorful than I expected.
750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small head. Nose is oxidized, with cardboard, earthy notes and muddy yeast. Flavour isn’t quite as bad, but it’s certainly off, with loads of oxidation and cardboard. Can’t tell if this would’ve good when new. Drain pour as it is. Bottle - Vintage 2012 - Malty and a bit of chalk. Very carbonated and clear caramel. Light raisin, dried fruit and a bit of caramel sweetness. A little past its prime. Travlr (26270) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 26, 2014
Bottle. Huge pop but not a gusher. Hazy deep golden color, massive light tan ice cream cone head that settles quickly. Aroma of earthy brown bread dough. Taste is sweet raw malt, lightly spiced bread. Tasty. BeerandBlues2 (13872) - Escondido, California, USA - DEC 26, 2014

Hazy amber. Light carbonation. Slightly cidery in the flavor. Sweet but not thick. Good, but not really interesting. Hopswagger (344) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 12, 2014
P: Murky copper body with floating specks. Looks like a swamp bog. A bountiful display of dense cream colored pillow top head. Great retention leaving behind rocky cliff ledges and a smooth, melted icecream like, sea of beauty. JustDrinkIt (261) - Arizona, USA - DEC 21, 2013
S: Sweet prunes, toasted caramel malt, soapy grains, musty fabric covered furniture, wood rot and moss. Crystallized sugar and tannins. Aroma is really malt forward with subtle musty notes.
T/M: Taste follows the nose and introduces cherry alcohol, grapes, and strong brewed tea. Medium creamy body with delicate carbonation.
O: Super malted and nice sweet palate. I would like to age this and see where it goes. I would have liked to have more funk and musty notes but overall it a well done beer.
Cloudy orange-brown pour with plenty of white head. Aroma of light spice, yeast. Flavor is mildly yeasty, cider, spice. A pretty good showing for the style. demmbonz (784) - Erin, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 14, 2013
12oz to snifter. Medium copper colored with aggressive carbonation. Sweet malty flavor with yeast and bananas. A belgian appeal to it. Thanks okbeerfan. Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 22, 2013
Bottle, courtesy of OKBeerFan. Thanks! Big gusher here. Pour is hazy amber with a big cream-colored head and great lacing. Bready, tangy, lightly fruity, a hint of spice, somewhat grassy, and minerals in the aroma. Taste is vegtables, banana, some bubblegum, caramelly, bready, grassy, vanilla, and malty - hint of alcohol on the backend. Medium mouthfeel with high carbonatoon. Pretty weak Biere de Garde.
