Went to the brewery for a four beer flight and ended up with a mini-growler of this one to take home. Nothing dissapointing but this one stands out. Deep, dark, rich, subtle chocolate notes, balanced tartness and low CO2 make this a perfect winter sipper. Nice head on this one too- decent retention for a small pour. Not super heavy for a stout but definitely not a summer beer. Well balanced, tasty and really interesting. A winner. Could have even more chocolate notes and I wouldn’t complain.

Bold coffee smell that also carries through on flavor....very dark appearance, finishes a touch of black licorice and watery...mellows out on flavor with time...so it turns our a little bland Theydon_Bois (21516) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 15, 2015

On tap at Craftsmen. Pours a dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate malt, lightly medicinal. Flavor is more chocolatey with roast as well. An ok chocolate stout, I wasn’t really impressed.
