500ml bottle from Prague Airport (£1.63):larsga (7608) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 30, 2014
Fresh with some nice grassy hops & hints of citrus plus medium strength lager malts, biscuit & sweetness. Hops with some spice making an appearance as well. Quite a lively one on the nose with a good balance & a pleasantly sweet aroma throughout.
Bright amber with with a 2-fingers tall head that holds well initially & looks creamy with some nice lacing on the sides & a clear body.
Sweet malts, biscuit & bread come through with the grassy hops from the nose. Citrus as well & spice from the Saaz hops & more malty than I was expecting.
Smooth with a medium body & a sweet mouthfeel that almost seemed creamy. The citrus left a tickling tang on the tongue & the beer was well-carbonated, crisp & moderately bitter towards the end.
Another cracking Czech beer. This was was thicker than I was expecting, with a great feel to it that bordered on creamy. The beer was very easy to drink and is again another that is up there with the best that the style has to offer.
Big white head. Clear deep yellow body with strong carbonation. Meaty floral aroma. Dry-sweet earthy strawy taste with meaty minty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish resiny earthy spicy aftertaste with minty grassy notes. Nice and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Csak a jo Sörök, Budapest.) tony_gorilla (159) - Drammen, NORWAY - MAR 7, 2014
Bottle from Maria bottle shop in Krakow, enjoyed at home. This is more like an lager in my opinion. Not so "crispy" polaxis (73) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 1, 2014

Malty taste with notes of bread, hay, toffee, a touch of toast and a gentle grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a light malt sweetness. Well balanced and tasty, classic Czech pilsner. Golden hazy turbid, low level head, sweet malty aroma and flavour, grainy very easy to drink. brugmanneke (286) - GERMANY - JUN 16, 2013
(tap) Golden, clear, with a medium-sized white head. Aroma is rather spicy, with lots of herbal hops and some cereals, a touch of honey and a piney and mineral touch. Taste is a bit sweet, with light to medium bitterness. Palate is slightly sticky. Overall a good, spicy beer reminiscent of Heller Bock-style, but lighter. Well-crafted.
