On cask at Ushers. Appearance - opaque black with a thin crema head. Nose - limeade and strangely toffee. Taste - proper bitter lime going into lime pickle. Still a returning toffee note. Palate - light bodied with a lean texture and a long lean sour tangy finish. Overall - great. Love it.

Pigs Ear Fest. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palafe is light, dry and finely crisp. Dark malt tang, salty savoury, dark fruits. Dry finish. About what you would expect. Comes together okay.

December 2016 - Cask, gravity dispense, at Pig’s Ear BF, Hackney Round Chapel. As ’Chorlton Dark Matter 2016’. Black, opaque with a foamy tan head. Aroma is rich, raisins, touch of malt vinegar. Body is light, tingly carbonation, quite smooth. Taste is raisin, a little toffee sweetness, tangy sharp notes cutting through the sweetness, light vinegar acidity with a salty finish. Interesting, and quite nice. Good for the "imperial black gose aged on Persian black limes" style. (3.7)

Light sweet flavour with cleansing citrusy tang, juicy lemon, understated dark malts, some salty bite. Light-medium bodied with fine carbonation.
