Bottle: A bit unclear, ruby-amber coloured, big stable loose beige head; sweet caramelly nose with a faint roasty background, traces of hops detectable as well; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; increasing bitterness in the toasty-caramelly finish. A sweet, but well balanced Dunkel.... MoritzF (10068) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2010
(bottle) Slightly hazy, dark brown colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Toast-malty aroma with earthy and leafy notes, accompanied by a touch of dark chocolate and herbal hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a calm carbonation. Robust malty and moderately roasted taste with notes of caramel, chocolate and herbal accents; a tad sweet and mildly roasted malty finish with a touch of herbal hops and a lasting chocolaty aftertaste. A pleasant Dunkel. 18.VIII.10 JorisPPattyn (10062) - BELGIUM - DEC 8, 2011
Opaquer cola- to chestnut coloured beer; small beige, slightly irregular head. Rainwater, wet dog but also malt syrup, bready and leafy; suggesting serious sweetness. Way less sweet than expected, in fact, serious punch of bitterness, both roasted and chestnut - of the horse persuasion. Gets sweeter all the same once warming up, returning to the bready aromacomponent. Bit empty, watery; just hints at grist slickness. Long bitterish aftertaste. Surprisingly bitter - which doesn’t spoil anything, of course. Many thanks to Honza!

bottle from Farmarsky Obchod Praha. Deep brown colour, beige head. Hoppy-malty aroma. Full-bodied, lovely malt flavours, hints of caramel, dark malts, roasetd malts, chocolate, coffee and dried fruit. Astinishingly intensive hop flavours, resiny and slightly herbal. Bitter-sweet character - the aromatic hops suit the dark character of the beer very well and make it very delicious and rather comples. Gooooooood! gunnar (9456) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 9, 2011
Bottle. Pours dark amber with a big frothy off-white head. Nutty malty aroma. Taste is on the sweet side, with chocolate and caramel. Dries up towards the end, ordinary beer, nothing special.

draft at pivovarsky klub in prague. lightly hazed cola brown colored body. nut and coffee ground nose with small notes of rubber/petroleum. cola-like sweetness, resembles some kvass i’ve had but without the bile. decent texture, nothing of note, just a little oily. medium body. a little too sweet and all around a very simple recipe that doesn’t really show off the czech brewing tradition.
