COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

(Draught at Kulovy Blesk, Prague, 27 July 2012, as "Polotmavý 12") Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with toast, dark rye bread and orange peel. Malty taste with notes of dark bread, chocolate, dried fruit and toast. Medium body, with balanced sweetness and a slightly spicy bitterness. Quiet nice.

Bottle. Polotmavy number ten, with mega-props to one of the best traders on the site, Nikos! Pours clear reddish amber, small beige head, dissipates fairly slowly, good lacing. Aroma is caramel, hay and cardboard. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, cardboard, lemon hints. Medium body. Not the best beer, but that was not the point. Thanks again!

On tap at the appetit festival 2012 in Pilsen. Plenty of roasty character with some coffee notes; nutty brown; plentiful bitterness; quite characterful for a polotmavy which too often is a style which is neither one thing nor the other - this one definitely leans towards being a tmavy

Gurthnar (5873) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - SEP 18, 2012
Creamy beige head. Clear ruby-brown colour. Aroma caramel, fruity. Taste almost medium bitter, somewhat tart, overripe fruits, earthy hops. Rather inharmonic sweet tart finish.

Keg at the food festival out by the zoo. I love how this photo is clearly of a bottle taken from the reduced items fridge at Zly Casy. 15 CK - bargain. Pours a woody chestnut Brown with an off-White head. Definitly leans in the direction of a Tmavy in that it has familiar roasty malt character and coffee notes. It’s still pretty easy going though. Served cold on a hot day, this was a treat. Nice thickness to the mouthfeel. Very nice.

McNeillR (2315) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 20, 2014
Cloudy dark brown/black and decent off white head Murky bitterness. Charcoal stomach pumped spew. Fairly stern carbonation but a pretty greasy mouthfeel. Bretty boak.

Bottle, Cheers Camertron, Alps Tasting
