Certainly lightweight! The aroma is mellow, wheaty, very lightly fruited. The taste is, well, light and airy, sparkly fruit like a very mild champagne. Not unpleasant, just quite mild.

Medium/light amber with a large off-white creamy uneven head. Fresh and crisp with a slight attic cobweb aroma. Taste is light, musty. Nothing really stands out. A good summer beer with food.

Bottled (750ml). A fairly low alcohol beer for Achouffe, no doubt intended as a summer quaffer. Apart from pils and witbier, Belgium is rather short of these. Very lively when uncapped - the bottle overflowed - as a result of which the bottle sediment was inevitably stirred up. I don't mind that, and, as I wasn't drinking from a 750ml glass, would have happened anyway. Pale amber in colour. Lots of lemon in the aroma and taste. There were notes on the palate that were reminiscent of a pasteurised British bitter. As Silk Tork says, there is a light vanilla undertone. Moderately dry finish but, as the hop bitterness dies away, a sweetish aftertaste develops. Overall, uncomplicated and fit for the purpose intended, but nothing special.

Tap. Close amber with decent head. Slight metallic aroma. Light, slightly citrusy not too sweet or too hoppy.

JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 4, 2012
On tap at Toronado, SF. Deep blonde to orange pour, decent looking with a moderate cloudiness and a struggling-to-exist head. Soft herbal notes very understated in the nose along with some floral and malty overtones. Decent sipper, a bit earthy and hoppy but ultimately not so much character.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7879) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Sampled on draft at Zeno’s in State College PA this beer poured a murky tan-orange color with a medium sized foamy off white head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was a bit tart with a bit of golden fruits and faint notes of yeast and pepper. The flavor was tart, dry and bitter with touches of peach, pear and bread dough. Medium length dry tart peach, pear and bread dough finish. Medium body. Ok.

Alengrin (5431) - BELGIUM - AUG 10, 2014
Summer beer from Achouffe, dating from when they were still independent and had a beer for each of the four seasons. Tasted as an old beer at 5 years of age, some cardboard in the nose, but otherwise well-preserved, soft, friendly and yeasty character, dryish, some peach, aromatic hop bitterness in the finish.

Psytron (2377) - Turku, FINLAND - MAR 28, 2015
Smell of coriander. Yellow cloudy colour, white head. Arom of coriander, yeast, some herbs. Sweet. Lively carbon.

Studentofbrrs (98) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 27, 2012
amber in color with a hoppy aroma, hint of fruit, had a citrus flavour with a hop finish, went down like water.... lacked substance

2.9
redpooba (406) - Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Dark golden in color with a white head. The aroma of soft-white flowers is the best part of the beer. The flavor is soft at the beginning, the body is absent, and then a lingering of gentle bitterness does not welcome you back for another taste.
