COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

The most interesting thing here is the hybrid of styles. The hops seem very well done, but I wonder if it’s the high carbonation. Either way, very tasty. This one is dangerous because it does not taste boozy at all.

Copenhagen 24/5 2017. 75 cl bottle from Meny. Little pixi with white beard obsessing about his facial hair on the label. Pours hazy golden yellow wit big white head. Settles as 3 cm thick fluffy layer of foam. Massive lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is dank cellar with creeping mold and yeast up to the eyeballs. Some boozy fruity notes. Some peach and some citrus. Medium carbonation and quite thin palate. Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is earthy and yeasty with fruity notes. A strange combination of styles - but the Belgian way to brew mixes nicely with the American IPA style. A littlethin but good stuff.

Very good Belgian Tripel! I would highly recommend this as an any occasion beer. Just be careful, at 9% this bad boy will creep up on you. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Goldgelb, leichte bis mittlere eintrübung. Tolles frisches aroma.

20170505 HOME; 33 cl bottle; BB 07.2018: A yellow beer, which is light cloudy and had an good white foam layer, but this become thin. An aroma of malty, alcohol, spicy and some yellow fruit, like light citrus. The taste starts somewhat malty and sweet. Direct also alcohol in the taste with yellow fruit, like apple, peach and somewhat citrus. Direct also some bitterness which becomes stronger and somewhat dry in the aftertaste.A good full body.

Quite interesting rose-tinged light yellow colour. Spotty little head. Plenty of spicy yeast. Lots of fruit. Very sparkly texture.

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy, dirty dark yellow with a large white head. The aroma is medium malty - sweetish grain, light caramel - and likewise lightly yeasty and hoppy, grassy and a little metallic. Medium to full body with a medium carbonation with a light sweetness and a medium bitterness that increase towards the warming alcoholic finish. The flavor starts malty with caramel and bready notes that are soon overpowered by a strong hoppy bitterness. Overall, nothing stands out in particular, but it is a very enjoyable beer.

Light amber. Spicy yeast, fruity esters, and caramel are at the center of this beer, with a bit of hops in the aroma. Full, sweetish taste that finishes with a dry, solid bitterness. The abv is completely hidden. Full body. Overall, a very good strong ale. This sample is not hoppy per se - it might be a bit dated - so it does not come across as an IPA hybrid, but the additional bitterness balances the tripel flavour very well, which is a little sweeter than usual. Now I just need to try a fresh sample.

Aroma of fine, spicy hops, some alcoholic sweetness too. Taste about the same, too much a tripel to really enjoy the noppyness. Mouthfeel rather thin.
