COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Wow. Thick white head dissipates into big whipped cream like lumps on top of the golden body. The yeast spice fills in perfectly the gap between when the light maltiness fades and the hops kick in. It’s like a top american double IPA blended with a standard tripel. Yeast spiciness complements the aggressive hoppiness very well. Hopefully the other belgian brewers start to experiment like this, if so, it will be a good time to be a beer drinker.

Interesting combination of a Belgian triple but than with more hops. Not in an aggressive way. The bitterness is present, but not as much as an IPA. Grain, grass, some lemon, subtle grapefruit. Creamy. Long finish.

Thick medium head, light golden, slightly hazy. Intense aroma of candies, sweet tropical fruit hops, cheese. Dry, bitter, refreshing with long sharp bitter finish. Good, but too sharp.

Still don’t know what that flavour is (thinking its banana) but its present in almost all the Belgium beers I try and unfortunately I don’t like banana at all. It is quite mild in this beer, however, so I still find it quite enjoyable. Apart from that its a great beer (nice level of bitterness) and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have issues with this flavour!

Not bad, but... Not what I expected. I would have chosen for little more bitterness and less sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gyllengul öl med ett gräddigt vitt skum. Doft av jäst, örter, viss kryddighet och malt. I smaken tillkommer vissa citrustoner. Mer en trippel än en IPA.

Wygląd porządny. Jasne pełne. Nieregularna piana. Szybko opadająca. Aromat niezbyt intensywny, chmielowy. Czuć alkohol: w smaku tez dominuje alkohol. Dziwią mnie tak wysokie oceny.
