COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A unique marriage between the English tradition of IPAs, the new American revolution of Imperial IPAs and the classic Belgian way of brewing. Houblon Chouffe, although very much hopped as it is, showcases the unique balance between a very strong IPA and a very special Belgian Tripel exclusively created for this ale (Big malty body, distinct dryness, expressive estery fruitiness). - IBU: 59, Original Gravity: 1092

Love this beer. Lots of people have rated it so far, so I won’t go through the normal stuff. But bubble gum on the back of the palate after you swallow? Seriously? And good hoppy nose up front too? Killer beer.

Hodně dobrá IPA, osvěžující, ale poměrně hořká chuť,zlatavo-oranžová barva citronovo-zázvorové aroma, a jemná pěna.

Pours a very large amount of foamy bubbly head and has a slightly hazy golden appearance. Has thick lacing. Orange, citrus aromas. Some toasty and bready malts as well. Flavours of citrus, earthy hops. Pretty sweet and somewhat bitter. Also some notes of floral hops and some mild spices. Fairly lively carbonation. Average retention. Mouth warming sensation. pretty slick and drying mouthfeel. Astringent sensation, mainly in the finish. Good balanced beer. Fairly strong in alcohol but doesnt show it.

Keg, 6 North, Edinburgh. Pours golden white head. Nose is fruity, hoppy, slight cheese, some esters coming through the taste is very much the same.

Bottle of 33cl, in a Tulip glass; from the fridge. Nice IPA, with a smoother taste than the Duvel hop for example, so we’re in front of a more "refreshing" IPA than a "tasteful" one. But still, more than decent. Go for it !

murzyn (324) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - JUL 29, 2017

More Belgian ale than IIPA. More yeasty than citrus/fruity. Alcohol is pretty brutal. Texture - quite good.

Heidelbeer (41) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUL 18, 2017
Off white, creamy on top, big laced on the sides, huge and almost long lasting head. Beer is murky golden. Aroma is intense hoppy after exotic fruits, mango, orange and lemonade, yeasty, fresh, a hint of spice and coriander. Taste is full, semi sweet, malty, a bit sour and lots of bitter hops. Finish is long and intense. Texture is first like mineral water due the high carbonation but turns into a creamy pleasant sensation. While I’m not a fan of a higher carbonation this one is well integrated and not going on my nerves. Alcohol is well hidden. Magnificent beer but not kicking off my favorite Chimay triple from the throne.
