COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

Hazy brown wih red tint, nice foamy head. Has a roasted malt aroma, hint of hops. Very malty body, at times very sweet (caramel) and at others dark and toasted, nutty. Very drinkable and thoroughly enjoyable.

jfm (1724) - Holbæk, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2003
slight hazy copper color with little or no head. The taste is a wellbalanced mix of fruits with notes of yeast.

Some vaguely saazy hop stink to it (not skunky, but nowhere as clean and pure as the nose on the blonde) Vaguely sweet thick maltiness, some modified malt astringency. Well bittered but the finish is a bit sweet and lacking in focus. This behaves much more like a 6% alcohol lager than the sublime blonde does.

mds (2250) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 28, 2003
hazy copper, no head. Malty sweet aroma. Hoppy flavour, medium body. Tame aftertaste. I think this is my first 'vienna' and I have to say it was quite good!

This is a good Vienna. Malty, sweet, slightly bitter, and fruity flavor. Finishes crisp, clean, and dry.

Cloudy medium reddish brown. Some unfiltered sediment. Light beige head. Fresh grainy, grassy, toasty, malty aroma. Firm yet soft feel. Clean, complex flavour of nuts, fruit, toast, whole wheat bread. Dry, peppery finish. Good bitterness.

Tasted in Toronto from LCBO. Rusty orange / red colour. Thin white head, notable carbonation. Aroma is sweet candy floss / fruity / spicy scent. Taste starts of with malty / grain taste. Continues with a slight sweety and fruity taste. The sweet flavour lingers in the aftertaste.

Good looking reddish colour. Lots of Vienna malt in the aroma and in the flavour. It has a nice mild caramel touch as well. Good body.
