COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Christoffel Robertus is a low-fermenting ruby-red beer, brewed in the Münchener-style. It is a malty, fresh beer with a light sweetness. The typical hopbitterness found in Blond, is very lightly present in Robertus. The use of an extensive amount of selected barley gives Robertus the special malty taste and aroma.

Very hazy and cloudy. A nice malty and fruty beer. The balance between the bitterness and the malty sweetness i well done. This is one to enjoy!

Voivod (304) - Como, ITALY - MAY 10, 2003
Amber colour, cloudy appereance, good head. Peach, apricots and citrus in the aroma. The flavour is quite complex, with fruity traces (apricot, peach, apple, orange peels) and sour hints (citrus). The finish is hoppy. A pleasant beer, good even for the summer season.

jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAY 4, 2003
Light roasted, light raisin aroma. Brown with orange tint, off-white head, fair lace. Sweet, a bit like a alt, fruity, no strong hops. Long lasting sweet and dry finish.

Best Till - Oct 2003 (bought on sale at the LCBO, so it's been collecting dust in the store since Christmas) Nice aroma, sour in the nose with a bite of alcohol. But not over powering. Smooth and sour in taste, very very slight alcohol taste but the sour malt taste makes up for that. Very enjoyable. I'll have to get a fresher one in December.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2003 Bottled: Cloudy orange coloured. Nice head. Light chocolatish and flowery in the nose. Is smooth and pleasant on the tongue. Malts is present and distinct cocoa accents.

A superb beer, the "Grand Cru" of beers. Interesting colour, medium head, lovely taste

LoveCaissa (873) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2003
Hazy almost orange colour. Interesting acidic fruitiness in aroma as well as flavour - balanced by a "candy like" sweetness. Impressively fruity for an underfermentated beer!

(Bottle) Medium Almond head with a dark amber body. Malt aroma and slight floral scent. Tastes of a fruity-nut brown. Fruit finish. Very refreshing...

Dark amer with a tall big bubbled tan head. Somewhat fresh toasted grainy aroma. Firm smooth body. Flavors somewhat nutty and toasty. Additional malty and fruity flavors follow with a crisp finish.

GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 5, 2003
Colour is a hazy dark amber with a small white head. Pleasant, mellow aroma of malt with a flowery edge. Nice and crisp mouthfeel. Malty flavour with sweet toffee and fruit. Faint hint of hops in the finish.
