Amber. Spicy with sweet dough malt. Medium bodied. Nice but a bit reserved i believe.

On tap at Altstad, Seattle. Nice roasted nutty aroma, mild spicy yeast finish, medium body, quite a nice drop.

luttonm (6169) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 29, 2016
Draft at Park Pub, Seattle. Pretty dark amber brown. Off white foam. Mild banana sweet, sweet smooth sip. Mild bitter. Ok beer but not rich or complex.

2.9
mintzmeet (457) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 5, 2016
Dark red color. Limited head. But the nose is of flowers. Easy to drink. Smooth, carbonation medium. Packs a punch but hardness is somewhat muted.

KyotoLefty (10205) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 25, 2016
Tap at DC Hamamatsu. Spicy hop nose, caramel malt. Brown-orange color. Rather bland flavor, ok malts, sweet caramel, spicy hops. Doesn’t work as well as their lagers.

2.8
mcberko (17205) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 18, 2015
On tap at Chuckanut, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, some herbal notes, and German lager yeast. Flavour is fairly bland but well-balanced, with a very malty character, with German lager yeast and bready malt. Decently balanced and clean, but pretty boring. Meh.

3.4
Blairgus (4536) - California, USA - JUL 19, 2015
18 July 2015, tap at Chuckanut Brewery. Light copper, clear, no bubbles. Nose is very toasty malt, some red fruit. Med/thin body and mildly fizzy. Slightly sweet, dry toasty malt. Nice.

3.5
IndianaRed (4546) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 17, 2015
On Tap at the Bellingham BP Mostly clear chestnut color. Full lasting white head and persistant clinging web-like lacing. Light and clean like a brown but with a little more noble hop bite. Quite dry and refreshing.;

3.3
beastiefan2k (3903) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Clear brown color. Aroma is a slightly syrupy sweet malt, then a toasted character under that. A little roasted brown malt character. Flavor has less of the syrup, which is good. Just that sweet character doesn’t work.light body, soft carb.

3.3
jinroh (1525) - ESTONIA - DEC 31, 2014
From tap at Beerfes Tokyo. Brown, thin layer of foam. Looks like I would imagine an alt to look like. Aroma has some slight bitterness to it, some fruits. Taste is soft, slightly bitter, malty. Easygoing and drinkable.
