3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
As part of a sampler tray during my visit to Bellingham Medium golden with a huge lasting white head..the enitre glass is coatd with the lacing as it recedes. Pretty mild aroma for an IPA, plenty of hoop flavor though and q flavoruite bitter. Sweet and light malty. A pwerfull kick but not quite the classic west coast IPA I typically expect. Claims to be more of the British variety but kind of lands in between I think.
18 July 2015, tap at Chuckanut Brewery. Light gold, clear, steady bubbles. Nose is toasted malt and some grassy hops. Med/thin body and mildly fizzy, slightly dry. Copper malt, toasty, faintly bitter. Decent as far as British IPAs go. jinroh (1604) - ESTONIA - DEC 30, 2014
Tap at Beerfes Tokyo. Brownish, quite clear and with only a little foam. Aroma has some light burnt caramel, sweet and mixed with hops. Fruit basket. Taste is relatively dry, hips and pine resins, needles. This kind of beer. As a whole this is a good example of an American beer, nice long IPA.

Draft - Loght grains and earthy hops. Clear gold with a nice white head. Up front vegative bitterness with some pale malts and a very dry finish. Bitterness is a bit much for me in this English style. KyotoLefty (10265) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 10, 2013
Draught at Tadg’. Amber color. Big, fruity nose, gumball and candy. Sweet, fruity flavor, nothing wrong with it but really undistinguished. A bit dull. mcberko (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 19, 2012
Sampled on tap at Chuckanut Brewpub, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is lightly fruity, English hops and grainy. Flavour is barely hoppy, with grains - very pale ale-like. Standard and boring. fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 17, 2012

Light amber color, hazy; creamy white head, with nice lace. Nice aroma of hops, fruity (grapefruit and other citrus) and sweat; tea. Decent malt and caramel flavor, but missing some better malt character; balanced hopping level, the hop provides only moderate qualities; there is some light sweetness that blends well together.
Pleasant, not impressive though.
Soft floral and peppery nose a little tea english ale aroma. Tpuch pf biscuit and toffee. Pours amber, thin lasting head. Light toast biscuit floral hops a little pepper. Light bitterness. Biscuit lingers. Pleasant. English. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - FEB 9, 2011
Copper amber, strong full white head, even thin lacing. Dry on the tongue, leafy and toasty, dried black tea. Hop character does not lead the way in all of this. A fine beer that doesn’t deliver on what I look for in an IPA. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JAN 9, 2010
draft at the brewery. pours a slightly hazy bright golden copper. loose off white head and nice stringy lace. mild toasty nose with very soft tangerine notes. creamy medium body with plenty of wooly carb. mild toast and tangerine mid palate. soft finish. very subdued. no doubt true to style, and certainly well made. but the college kids in town head for boundary bay ipa to get smacked with hops, and ck has some trouble getting their attention with these little gem euro styles. this is a perfect example of how the american market has blown past old limits...as great as this beer is, a non beer geek would be shocked to find out ipa is in the name. still, a great subdued little old world example of the style.
