Dark brown, moderate smoke, beech, and a touch of chocolate. Good body, almost peaty smoke, light chococlate malts, basically delicious. ilsaconsume (11) - Washington, USA - AUG 7, 2014
Whoa! Malt and bacon ahoy. Not cloying - a very mature smoked beer. Mildly bitter and softly sweet. A very blended flavor but perhaps a bit much for a whole pint. peteinSD (1469) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 19, 2013
Tap @ brewpub. Black pour with a light tan head. Clean, medium smoke with light roast, chocolate, and sweeter malt notes in the aroma. Taste is smoke, bacon, sweet malt creeping in, with a nice roasty, semi-chocolate finish. Very clean mouthfeel. Excellent smoke beer. IndianaRed (4627) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 29, 2012
As part of a sampler tray during my visit to Bellingham Finally an Ale at this place... Deep clear chocolate brown color witha good sized dense off white head. Nice light roasted slightly smokey aroma. The smoke in the flavor is just right. Not so strong like sucking on beef jerky as other attempts. Very nicely balanced. and approachable for the style. Americanized maybe? Aubrey (3516) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Pleasant and easy-drinking porter. Relatively light yet flavorful malts with notes of chocolate, roast, and smooth char and tar. Slight lactic-like sourness and a mild bitterness balances things out well. Soft campfire smoke in the background.

Draft at uber. Pours black with a dense and creamy tan head that falls away pretty quickly. Big charcoal nose, some light coffee and chocolate presence. Creamy medium body, a little on the flat side. Charcoal, coffee, and roast on the mid palate. Long charcoal finish. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - AUG 6, 2012

Mild smoke flavor. Nice body, smoky and "clean" aromas. Drinkable almost as a session beer. kathouse (1893) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - FEB 7, 2012
Deep garnet beer with creamy head. Aroma smells like smoked beef jerky with hints of chocolate. Smoke, chocolate and biscuit flavors finish clean and tasty. Like this a lot. OldMrCrow (2437) - Seattle, Washington, USA - DEC 29, 2011
Deep red-brown pour, smoked gouda aroma.Lighter body, grain-heavy flavor with the smoking coming on in the finish. Extremely drinkable.
