Bought a 1/6 keg of this for my home bar and don’t expect it to last very long. Awesome beer. Aroma was really good. Strong wheat and yeasty smells with notes of lemon. Pour wa Da hazy light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was delicious. Classic Berliner flavorswith the lemon and wheat coming on strong in the front and a refreshing (but not cheek scraping) sourness in the finish. Good spritzy carbonation. I believed this was a style that American brewers just couldn’t nail down until now j12601 (13027) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 27, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Pours a faintly hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft wheat on the nose, a bit of musk and funk. Medium bodied, nice tartness right away, more so than the lychee/rose version. Tangy into the finish, lingering lemon acidity and a bit of grainy wheat. Nice and very easy drinking.

A flight of three berliner weisses made for a nice stop before the drive back to northeastern Ohio. Two of them had just gone on; being able to compare and contrast helped me see that whoever made this knew enough to stay with the spirit of the style despite some fruity experiments. The base provided a nice reference.
Aroma / Appearance - A golden base shimmers with a light crisp feel like a glass of cloudy lemonade. Tartness in the form of lemons and general citrus erupt upwards with a clean summery feel that breaks the heat.
Flavor / Palate - Lemons, wheat, and light floral notes refresh the palate without leaving a coarse finish that beats it down. Simple and effective, it brightens the tongue and throat. If more sours offered this level of simplicity and complexity in one package I might just give up 10% high boost drafts for a while.
Keg on RBWG bus. Pours a clear yellow with small off white head. The aroma is lemon zest and wheat. Thin mouth, tart lemon, easy to crush, very nice. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - OCT 29, 2013

Hand Bottle… RBWG 2013… Pours clear and straw-colored with a small, fizzy, short-lived, white head. The bouquet furnishes notes of wheat and other cereal grains – not much else going on here. Light-bodied to medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Nice, tart, refreshing flavor - even at room temperature. A notation of grainy wheat here as well. Short, crisp, clean finish. Not at all bad. Pretty good actually, but I’m from the land of Berliner Weisse and Florida Weisse, so my standards regarding Berliners are very high. This is just pretty good – and that ain’t bad. Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2013
Keg on the RBWG 2013 bus - big thanks to whoever hooked this up! Pours clear yellow with a light, white film for a head. Classic berliner weisse nose, lots of citric lemon. Light sweet flavor with strong tartness, more lemon. Light bodied with average carbonation. Tangy finish with light acidity, still more lemon. Super drinkable. Very refreshing, especially the morning after the Opening Night Dinner. SudsMcDuff (8468) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAR 3, 2013

Keg on the RBWG bus TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Appearance: Clear yellow with a big white head, some lacing
Aroma: Fruity and mildly tart
Taste: Tart fruits and bready
Nice, light and refreshing.
Keg on the bus during RBWG shared by Lithy. Thanks for hauling this down, Justin! Probably drank more of this than any other bus keg beer cuz its light, quenching and better tasting than water. Simple, well executed berliner, light yoghurt, lactic acid, a bit of salt, and a bitter citrus finish.
