On draft. Another in the subgenre of boundary-blurring (and disregarding) beers. This is a good one, an Oktoberfest with bite instead of sweetness. Really nicely done. Art (3217) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 25, 2012
An interesting take on an Octoberfest beer. Extra hops and extra alcohol. Worth a good try. cheap (5860) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2011
On tap at the Bocktown Monaca, nice place. Nice darker yellow orange color. No head. Barely any aroma, just clean clear and crisp. First taste is certainly marzen and fest but the aftertaste is medium hops. Bitter weaker IPA feeling begins to build in the back of the throat. Very little CO@ in this brew. Yep, this is an evolvingt beer; starts as an octoberfest then finishes like a mediocre IPA. ttutony (920) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 14, 2011
Somewhat weak aroma, a bit of noble hops. Hop presence is a bit stronger on the palate, not super potent but a pleasant level. Finishes cleanly. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 25, 2010
On tap at Church. Very mild nose, with good malt presence and a touch of hops. Clean. Coppery amber clear with thin head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts fairly dry. Decent hop bitterness from start to finish. Light caramel malt, clean with no diacetyl. Hoppy bitter finish with chalky bitter after and light nutty sweet astringency. Nice Oktoberfest.
