Draught. This is by far my favorite Church Brew concoction! What a great Maibock! Smooth as silk as it slithers across the tongue and down the throat with that great sweet malt flavor and a slight hop bitterness and nose, but certainly, this one is about the malt. I love the texture of this beer and the flavors of oranges, pineapple, and some other great stuff that I can’t even try to explain. Some sweet dough flavors in there somewhere. I really liked this beer and can’t wait to stop in again before it is gone for the summer! VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - APR 23, 2002
1/2 gallon growler. Hazy pale amber with a white edge head. Light carbonation. Toasty pils aroma, light fruit, spicy hops and some alcohol. Full bodied and fruity with a smack of alcohol spiciness. Toasty malt base, husk-like and lightly sweet. Grainy aftertaste. Immensely drinkable with a slick pear juice edge. Finishes thicker and full. A little toasty but nicely balanced and deep with flavor. egajdzis (6692) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 8, 2004
Copper color with a small off white head and some nice lacing. Earthy and malty aroma. Nice toasted malts, some caramel, lightly hopped. Could not taste the 7% here. Decent bock, thanks cb and TAR! SB (334) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 29, 2005

Poured dark yellow with huge frothy white head. Nice carbonation. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma was sweet and fruity with a hint of alcohol. Taste was fruity almost like pears or plums or pineapple, but as it warmed it only got better and more complex, malty, roasty, nutty taste with hints of spices. Mild bitter aftertaste. Very smooth and creamy, easy to drink. I enjoyed and will def. have this one again
Tap @ the brewpub, comes with a strong small head that never fades atop a dark copper/brown color. Aroma is strong on the maltiness and light sweetness represented with dank malts. and even some dank hops as well. Flavor has a nice sweetness with a but of a woodsy maltiness and clearer hops (indistinct). I like the sweetness but seems unnatural for the style.

Draught at the church. Pours amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malt, fairly light, with some light fruits and hint of alcohol. Flavor is similar notes but a little more robust, finishing with some light European-style hops. A pretty good maibock, though not as robust as some. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 15, 2014
Draft at the church. Pours a clean amber with thin white head. Aroma of sweet grain, bread, red apple. Sweet and malty. Medium full body. Somewhat creamy ravidesai (978) - Bombay, INDIA - FEB 9, 2003

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2006 Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a bright golden color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet and almost honey like. The flavor is sweet and honeyish with a roasty bitterness that follows. There is a mild alcohol flavor that intrudes. guzzler67 (1696) - Hanover, Maryland, USA - MAY 8, 2004
Light copper appearance with a dominant malty aroma. Flowery, fruity, slightly sweet flavor with very little hoppy taste. Finish was mildly acidic.
