On tap. Dark cooper color with one finger head. Malty aroma. Sweet malt taste. Decent dark beer. weihenweizen (3826) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - FEB 14, 2014
On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear amber with medium off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt, medium/light body, and low carbonation. Tate is simple caramel malt. beechner224 (1024) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - JAN 10, 2014
Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with minimal white head. Aroma is pilsner malt, little bit of sweetness, no hop character. Taste is bready, malty, even a bit yeasty. Not my favorite, but not that bad. MarkSachon (1023) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 5, 2014
Gift growler from the Kuba family - thanks! A thin and overly carmelized version of a local dunkel. Runs to the thin side on body and taste.

Solid Dunkel; but nothing stands out that would make me buy again really. One nice aspect is that it has a fuller mouthfeel than most in the style.

Love this beer. Great taste, aroma and appearance weather it's from the bottle or from the tap

Toffee brown colored pour. Small off-white head. Some lacing left behind its quick demise. Malty aroma with some notes of roast and sulphur. Bitter taste, almost tart. Not fitting at all for the style. Some sweet malt notes buried under it. Not bad. jjvangom (5) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - AUG 7, 2013 does not count
quite a nice brew and compares favorably with many recent craft creations. Although the pour is poor, the taste makes up for that with quite a favorable taste and unique. Would recommend strongly. DocJitsu (1978) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - JUL 31, 2013
Pours mildly cloudy golden copper color with a light tan head. The head fades to a thin cap on top of the liquid. Notes of banana bread right after the poor. Once it settles, more prune is noted. It is like the dark fruit notes that come through in a lot of British brown ales. A somewhat creamy mouthfeel with a little carbonation being expressed late. Muffled flavors of ripe banana and some sweet and tangy. A bit of stale bitterness emerges at the finish.
