On tap at the brewery. Pours a faintly hazed gold with a thin white head. Big fruity hops up front, sweetness and melon and some dusty mustard greens. Medium bodied, grainy with a nice crispness and then more sweet melon hops come through. Nothing like what I was expecting, and very pleasantly surprised. Crisp bitterness on the finish, clean and easy drinking.

One of the better beers I’ve had from Church. Nice Saaz profile coming through, good earthy spice. Fits the bohemian pilsner style well.

Draft at the brewpub as "Saaz Monster." Pours a clear golden color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of toasted caramel malts with lemony, spicy hops. The taste is big lemon hops, mild caramel malts. Medium bodied.

Called Saaz Monster now (like the old name better but maybe they had to change it.) On tap at Church Brew Works, Hard for a hop head like myself to look at a a list of 10 or so beers and the highest IBU is 30. this was pleasant, and couple folks who didn’t like hops appreciated this as it had more flavor than other offerings, or they didn’t lke the eeissen flavors. aromas of saaz-skunk, caramel & nutmeg, Solid yellow with modest white head. Fruity fkavor with toast & oak. crisp, clean finish.

Sampled at the brewery. Mclear holden. Not what I expected from a beer featuring this hop. Lemon and limes. Fruity. I looked for sulfury notes but was surprised to not find it. Really nice.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light orange with a thin white head. Aroma of pale bready malts and a touch of bitter hops. Flavor is more floral with hop bitterness and pale malts. More pilsener than hoppy pilsner but it’s drinkable. 6/4/7/4/13 (3.4/5)

On tap at Saaz Monster at 6%, 35 IBU. Filtered orange-copper color. Foamy white head. Rather straightforward classic lager, nice Saaz feel but nothing "monstrous". Not really on par with a good German example. A touch grainy. OK.

Draft at the brew pub over the summer. Pours light golden with thin white head and lacing. Slightly lemon nose. Taste of straw with faint lemon. Hoppy, light and refreshing.
