The ThunderHop I.P.A. has an intense bitterness, flavor and aroma. We chose to use two varieties of American hops in the brewing process. The color is copper to amber and the aroma is noticeably hoppy due to the use of Glaciers in the dry hop process. You will also pick up a complexity from fruit-like esters. The body is big and malty with some caramel sweetness.

Draft in Pittsburgh. Aroma is slightly piney, light.. Underwhelming. Flavors of too heavy to the malt side, very much a previously thought of East y coast ipa.

Draught @ Tapped: This one pours a hazy orangish color. There was a wisp of an off white head. Minimal lacing. It has a little bit of a lighter nose. Some tropical hops, pineapple notes as well as some orange and grapefruit. The taste is good. Pretty good hop bite to it. Grapefruit, pineapple with a decent malt body.

12 oz. bottle from a trade with Joshua C. on Untappd. No date coding on bottle. Color is a unfiltered amber, fast dying head. Aroma is mild pine, weak fruits and lighter caramel.

Flavor starts with pineapple, candied oranges with a mild caramel malt base. The bitterness is pine resin with a slightly herbal. Bitterness is low with a slick / sticky texture. Pretty average single IPA.

Drank from a pint glass, poured from a twelve ounce bottle, thank you Björn! Tastes like an overly hoppy IPA, but they did show a nice complexity of hop flavors/aromas tho.

Had this many times before, perhaps I have underrated it in my head cause this is pretty darn good.

j12601 (12000) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 27, 2015
On tap at the brewery. Pours an almost clear gold with a thin white head. Big pineapple and citrus on the nose, like an apricot fruit rollup straight out of a childhood memory soaked in orange juice. Medium bodied, soft malt and a bit of orange peel, citrus, earthy grapefruit. Slow earthy bitterness into the finish, lingering grapefruit and a hint of orange sweetness.

Bottle in Pittsburgh. Hazy gold white head. Odd nose, smells sweet. Mild flavor, hop bitterness.

LetsGoState (886) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 13, 2015
Aroma is floral hops. Taste is floral hops with spices and a nice malt balance. Overall a really nice IPA.

tia (2228) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - AUG 18, 2015
Tap @ brewery. Hazy honey with cram head with decent retention and lacing. Smells peachy, piney, weather, and pithy. Grapefruit comes out in the flavor.

Of the 8 IPAs i had in my week in Pittsburgh this the best and most distinctive. Strong hop flavor but not overly harsh, barely malt flavor but you know its there to balance, Strong grapefuit, lemon and caramel aroma. Raspy finish.
