COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The ThunderHop I.P.A. has an intense bitterness, flavor and aroma. We chose to use two varieties of American hops in the brewing process. The color is copper to amber and the aroma is noticeably hoppy due to the use of Glaciers in the dry hop process. You will also pick up a complexity from fruit-like esters. The body is big and malty with some caramel sweetness.

Can thanks to beechner224. pours a nice golden color. Not much aroma. Just a lot of hop smell Taste is pretty good. Lots of hops. Bitter in the back end and it lingers. Coats the teeth. Overall not a bad beer.

Bottle. Clear ruby with a big off white head. Aroma is extremely dank with a touch of caramel malt. Taste mostly follows suit but adds some fruity notes. Rich slick palate and medium carbonation. This one is a pleasant surprise. Really nice hop bomb.

Nice IPA. Good piney aroma and good flavor that doesn't remind me of any other IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep amber, almost a copper, colored pour. Small off-white head. Some lacing. Smells of hops and oranges and peaches. Some malt in the background. Slight butter. Taste is buttery up front followed by some malt and hops.

dogfish120love (1331) - Westfield, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 20, 2013
Pours a dark orange with minimal lacing. Hints of diacytel and an off mint like flavor.

Draft to Pint Glass. The nose is that of citrus and the color is a coppery amber. The flavor is initially sweet for an IPA and goes down nicely.

DocJitsu (1978) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - JUL 29, 2013
Pours a crystal clear copper golden color with a short off white head that disappears quickly. The aroma is more on the malty side, but not extraordinarily so. Some esters waft out of the glass, but those notes are sweetened by the maltiness. The mouthfeel is slick and filling with a fine carbonation and hop heat providing balance. The flavor is much more florally hoppy than the nose would suggest. More than adequate malt backbone to balance the moderately-aggressive hop character.

On tap at World Beer Festival in Cleveland. Solid hoppy pale ale, citrus, piney, very good.

Appearance: Garnet and coppers under a thin coppery film which swirls with thick edges.
Nose: Grapefruit, pine, fern trees. Dried west coast hop cones. Sticky hop resins.
Palate: Medium-light weight and brisk clean mouthfeel that finishes dry. Lemon and grapefruit skins – slick, oily, and zesty. Green grass along the sides.
Final Thoughts: Church Brew Works brings the brewery back to the church by renovating a rundown church and turning it into a scenic brewery that puts out good beers. Their Thunderhop IPA is straightforward and tasty, a fine sessionable brew.
