Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with a large tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus and tropical hops and toffee malts. The taste matches. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness, well balanced. Very nice beer. Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 28, 2008
Bottle from Cappelli’s in Washington, PA. This brew pours a mostly clear dark amber color with a thin white head that dissipates slowly. Hoppy aroma with touches of pine and citrus. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter hoppy character. Notes of pine and grapefruit with a small amount of malt in the background as well. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left behind. Overall there is just enough malt to keep this beer from becoming overly astringent but it is still pretty close to being too far in that direction. Still it is above average.
