Cask (handpump) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.
Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, peat. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (080808)

Cask at GBBF08. Nice roasted aroma. Almost black colour. The flavour is roasted with a hint of smoke. Roasted and fruity aftertaste. Light body. A good mild.

Veyr nice, very dark and not so red. It was not as nutty as others in features but is not dissapointing. Had it ahd GBBF 2008.

Cask at GBBF 08. Roasted malt aroma. some dark fruits, bit of damson. OK mild, needs a bit of condition. Good roasted malts though. Quite intense for a mild.

Cask at GBBF 2008. Near-black with small head, no lacing on glass. Fruity slightly smoky nose with a tang of chocolate and coffee. Deep roasted malt flavour, sweet with espresso and dried date notes, very slight sourness on the finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 17/1/08. Very dark brown with reddish hints and a decent tan head. Roasted malt and chocolate aroma with some earthy hops. Bitter chocolate and red fruit flavour, with a dry finish. Good.

[email protected] Very dark amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is big malts, hops and earth. Flavour is spices, malty and hoppy. Slight dark fruits and red berries are also present. Quite a nice one.
