Clear medium yellow to orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, moderate hoppy, orange - mandarin. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottled. A dark golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of spices, malt, and a bit of herbs. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and a bit of spices, leading to a dry finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 19, 2010
Bottle 50 cl. Golden, almost clear with a white head. sweet malty and fruity. Medium body, a little fruit and an almost perfumy touch from the hops. Very subdued bitterness. 190110 downender (8660) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2009
Cask-conditioned at the Cross Hands, Winterbourne Down, S Gloucestershire 18/05/09. Golden in colour with a slight, lacy white head. Citrus hop aroma with some malt sweetness and hay. Flavour began sweet, before a touch of grapefruit and orange and decent dry finish. Drinkable.

Pissy colour and the aroma of fuddy, wet animals. Less than appealing start to what turned out to be a stale and boring brew. Te only notable thing here is the boozy petrol finish.

Bottle. Golden with a slight haze.Hoppy with some sweetness. lingering aftertaste. Some sediment was left in the bottle. A very decent bottle conditioned ale. RichardGretton (4770) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2007
Bottle. Golden beer with a very strong head. The aroma is lightly dry and the flavour is dully hopped. Overall quite a plain weak beer. DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2007
My second bottled offering from the altar, and by far the best. Slightly greenish pale gold pour humming mustily of the hopsack. A typically churchish brew swimming with zesty grapefruit hoppiness. A crisp bite of hops in the finish with none of the biscuity oatiness characterising their more sessionable beers. A spoonful of lemon soapiness. Straightforward but refreshingly crisp Ale. gnoff (10393) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - OCT 25, 2006
(50 cl bottle brought over by a friend from England) Shady straw yellow color, big white head. Fruity hops and nice bitterness in the scent, apricots and citrus. Refreshing yet bitter taste, bitter aftertaste. Taste is fruity. Medium high bitterness and medium mouthfeel. Hoppy bitter aftertaste. This one is really nice!
