On Tap at the Castle Tapped a pale gold with a light hazed shimmer to it...1 finger white cap does not last too long but does lace the glass well. Pungent aromas of cranberry but not synthetic or perfumery, undertones of sweetness and some grass. Front side makes an impression like a wheat biscuit with cranberry sauce on it then mid palate the maple shows ...good hop character accents the tart cranberry...finish is incredible...dry and tart from the wheat and cranberry working together some maple tones...almost puckering dryness. A summer deck beer...not a girly drink but I’m sure it will appeal to the ladies...well put together...flavors blend in proportion and give a decent amalgamation....good solid summer beer effort from a great micro.

bottle at cafe volo. ok, cranberry yes, maple?! I dont taste any maple. its overpowered by an artifical cranberry flavour, not horrible, but far from great.

Bottle from Toronto Posse July ’06. Explosive opening, no gusher but close. Pours ~5% beer 95% foam. Golden colored and clear. Smells like cherries to me and vomit. Thin, vapid body. Perhaps the lightest flavors of maple and cranberry. Really not even close to enjoyable, sorry.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2006 pours a yellow color with a very small head fruity sweet crandberry smel and a cranberry taste to start and then a hint of maple.

On draught; poured a gold with a rocky head. Aroma is quite fruity. Flavour was tart with a combo of the cranberries and the maple. Not bad and would make a reasonable "once in a while" drink.

One of the 3 brews I tried at church-key. (Sold out of Holy Smoke at the time...) Bottle: Poured a clear bubbly gold with a thin white head. Nice appetizing cranberry aroma with an underlying straw (barnyard) yeasty smell that I don’t particularly find appealing. (Mt. Begbie brews have it for me too...) Nice berry tartness is balanced by some maple sweetness in the finish. Quite nice. ps. I really like Cranberry
