[Draught at Mugshot Tavern] Pours a dark deep amber-brown with an average size semi-lasting frothy light-brown head. Aroma is roasty, chocolaty and lactic along with coffee and some light hops. Nice malty, chocolaty flavour along with lactic notes, coffee and a moderately big finish. Some hops in the finish. Average bodied. A solid take on the style, well done. Bottle, pours a nice black, light head, the flavour is a nice creamy chocolate and it has a nice smooth finish, overall this one was quite enjoyable JoeMcPhee (10137) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2013
Deep black pour. Tight light brown head. The nose is quite chocolatey and a little bit earthy. Bittersweet chocolate and a rich malt base backing it up. Moderate sweetness and a nice fresh maltiness. A touch of roast on the finish. Really nice stout. mabel (10004) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2012

2012-12-22. Black body with a small brown head that fades. 4+ Flavour is pleasant, sweet dark malt, mild roast. Sweet chocolate undertones. Interesting sweetness that I assume is lactose but I wouldn’t know it if not for the hint in the name. 7++ Mild aroma, light roast and muted chocolate. 7 Average plus to medium palate has interesting carbonation. Pretty nice. On tap at Volo, Toronto

On tap, Imbibe, early December 2012. Strong chocolate aroma, sweet. Pitch black, good sized head. Taste is terrific and unique - thick creamy imperial stout with a chocolate and with a real lactose-milk taste - I love the creativeness to throw that in here and I love the skill that pulled it off and achieved such a great balance - this . Complex stuff. A winner. pootzboy (1824) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 5, 2012
On Tap at Imbibe: puts a deep dark brown - black opaque ale in the tumbler with a thick creamy mocha colored cap. Modest carbonation. On first sight this is an impressive looking brew but the aroma is intoxicating - wonderful lactose-cocoa sweetness with roasty malt and grassy hop undertones. Luxurious rich mouth feel - silken texture. Flavour has a big rush of chocolaty roasty semi sweet flavour in front that gets well balanced with Golding hops midway then a long rich silken chocolate finish that goes lightly dry and bitter in the finish. Extremely flavourful and rich but also very drinkable. One of the most pleasing milk stouts I have tasted.
