daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 19, 2007
Straw gold colour with a quickly dissipating fizzy white head. Fresh grassy nose with a vibrant fruitiness, but upon shaking gets a little phenolic. A light, typical Church Key hoppiness in the front, with some grass and a very light sweet maltiness. An alright lager, if not just uninteresting.

On Tap at joe’s some time ago....... i recall is being very malty, and not it does make sense seeing its a Dortmunder, i thought it was a basic golden lager. Decent for the style, nothing mind blowing though.

Now that I’m reading that this is supposed to be a Dortmunder, it’s starting to make sense. Still, kind of a boring offering...very basic, yeasty scent and slightly sweet, light-bodied gold lager-ness. Okay for the style, but pretty unexceptional.

golden lager, definate grassy notes, grainy flavour and a fruitiness that im not sure of.definate one of the better lagers as compared to the usual

(Rating #675)

Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 14, 2006
Light golden beer with a thin white head. Aroma is lightly funky grass, with light pear notes. In mouth, a decent caramel malt, grainy with fruity sweet notes, more berry-ish. Light bodied. Might be on verge of infection. Bought by Inertia Boy, August 2006.

Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 26, 2006
Bottle: Poured a pale gold with thin white head. Straw-ish grainy aroma with a standard lager flavour and a light lift of bitterness in a somewhat soapy finish. Not overly impressive for me. (one of 3 I tried from them...wish they hadn’t been sold out of Holy Smoke or I would have passed the Lager over in favour of that one.)

A small step above a macro and unfinishable. Pale yellow with initial good head some malt taste. metallic, light body.Aggressive carbonation. A tad of hop and bland finish. Served cold but not ridiculously cold at the Rhino. Aroma is cheese and malt.

bitbucket (2165) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - MAY 2, 2006
Bottled. Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly fruity. Standard lager flavor profile, with the fruit and bread with a touch of malt and hops. Finishes crisply with a slight bit of pine. Yep, it’s a lager.
