COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Devil’s Advocate begs the question: What happens when you take a ton (literally) of Pilsner malt, put it through a decoction mash, boil it up, add another 500 lbs. of Belgian candy & cane sugar, and then some of Duvel’s world famous yeast? The answer: A spicy, sweet, and dangerously drinkable, Belgian Golden Strong Ale!

Pours a clear yellow/gold with a nice lasting white head. Aroma is Belgian all the way with banana and spices. Taste is sweet pale malt, banana, rock candy, coriander and some breadiness. Smooth and very good. ABV not really noticeable, other than warmth after the swallow. Pretty good.

Extremely solid. Bottle from Andy and Kathy - beer club. Cloves, spicy and yeasty notes in nose. Big thick mouthfeel syrupy, sticky sweet, a bit of booze. Carbonation tingles at back end helps balance. Dry / yeasty finish balances sweet. Well done.

Aroma is pineapple juice, very perfumed/slightly off and slight sweetness. The flavor is pineapple/pineapple juice, tropical fruit/fruit, pale malts, Belgian yeast and an alcoholic/warming finish.
