Pours brown with a thick, full, off white head that settles slowly. I really didn’t get a whole lot of aroma. I happened to find bread and toffee. The taste is sweet and a bit tart. Toffee and nuts are most prevalent, with brown sugar, bread, earthy malts, and light floral hops as flavors that are detected as well. A light toffee is the aftertaste. Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head and spotty lacing. Aroma of dark fruit, some caramel and bit of brown sugar. taste of roasted malt, dark fruit and bit of caramel. Mild bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Medium body, smooth with a nice toasted malt feel. Enjoyable beer.

This 12 oz bottle was sent to me by Strykzone. Thanks Dave. Pours amber to brown with a tan head and thick lacing rings. Nose is rich caramel malts with some light fruit. Dark copper to brown in color. Diminished head of light tan bubbles. Malty, meaty, earthy aromas. Sweet dark toffee start. Grainy breads in the middle. Just a hint fo herbal hops. Sweet finish. A strong amber. Simple. 4/14

Pour is a dark brown with some red highlights and almost no head at all. Aroma is a decent dark fruit with some brown sugar. Flavor is more dark sugar and dark fruit with an earthy malt finish. 12 ounce bottle. Deep amber brown and opaque. A beige head leaves rich lacing. The aroma is of a Scottish ale and is rich to the nose. The flavor is also authentic and classic. A sweet maltiness. The beer pours brown with a beige head. The aroma has toffee, brown sugar, toast, candy and smoothness. It has a medium body with fairly soft carbonation. The taste mirrors the aims pretty much and is pretty decent.
