2011 vintage, thanks to Baggio. Awesome bourbon aroma. Tastes freakin good. Love this 4 year old beer, donít know what it was like fresh, but now itísffreakin awesome! Garlic_of_Doom (643) - SWEDEN - FEB 18, 2015
2014 bottle from a trade with Dan, thanks!
Pitch black with a small espresso coloured head.
Aroma has loads of bourbon followed by liquorice, dark chocolate, roasted malt and alcohol fumes.
Taste has liquorice, coconut, bourbon, super dark bitter chocolate and liquor filled pralines.
Full body, no doubt about that, low but still prickly carbonation, super thick and velvet smooth.
After taste is quite hot, a lot of bourbon burn.

This is a beast among Imperial Stouts. Quite hot so I guess some age could do just fine.
2012 bottle thanks to Bruce. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is roast, chocolate, oak. medium mouthfel with roast, chocolate, sweet finish, really enjoyed this. ICEatALAMO (1349) - Troy, Michigan, USA - JAN 10, 2015

Bottle share thanks to bytemesis. 2013. Big molasses, chocolate, lightly boozy, light oak aroma. Dark blackish pour, thick, small light brown head. Big boozy, very sweet, roasty, but astringent, oaky and finishes with lots of alcohol. bytemesis (8236) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 9, 2015
Bottle, thanks cocoapuph! Pours deep black, small tan head, dissipates quickly, some lacing. Aroma is roasty, molasses, anise. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, bourbon, chocolate, a bit of vanilla. Medium body. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 28, 2014
Bottle: Blue wax, 2014 vintage. Dense black center with more transparent brown at the edges than I would expect. Not much head at all, only a thin, tan collar. Aroma is pretty decadent with big notes of bakerís chocolate, molasses, brown sugar cane, & a strong river of booze soaked & spicy oak flowing through it all. Touch of roastiness but mostly sweet on the nose. Flavor is the same; that is, more sweet (& boozy) than roasty. Lots & lots of burnt caramel, brown sugar, chocolate coated toffee cake, & a strong punch of molasses. The back-end brings out the robustness with a bourbon presence thatíll knock you back if youíre not ready. Hint of vanillin from the barrel with lingering booze, wood, & semisweet chocolate in the finish. Dogbrick (12932) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2014
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2014 Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking.Pitch black pour with a medium foamy beige head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing. Aroma of chocolate malt, coffee and vanilla. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky vanilla, bourbon, coffee and chocolate. The finish is boozy with an oaky and chocolatey aftertaste. Solid beer all around. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 22, 2014
Pour from bottle generously shared at Zwanze Day 2014. Pour is deep brown/black with a frothy brown head and sticky lacing. Huge toffee, raisins, coffee, some figs, espresso, nice roast, wood, and caramelly aroma. Taste is super rich - deep chocolate notes, vanilla, coffee, some toast, oak, and brown sugar. Creamy/velvety mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Rich and decadent stout that doesnít disappoint and one I could drink all the time. Worth the hype.
