Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, coffee, hop, liquorice, medium sweet and a little bitter. mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2013
22 oz. bottle, courtesy of mista (thanks Geoff), pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, slightly sour notes, oak and slight chocolate. Flavour brings out lots of oak and vanilla, a sort of sour quality without really being sour, and cocoa. Thereís a touch of dark fruit in there, like slight sour cherries. Definitely overhyped and overrated, as thereís really nothing special about this. Nicely constructed and well-balanced, finishing on oak and cocoa. Good stuff but way overrated due to rarity. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 18, 2012
Bottle, 22oz, at TFODRBSG 2012. 2010 vintage it seems, but the wax was more copper than gold, so maybe 2012? A black one, more or less, clear looking and topped by a dense, beige head. Dark chocolate, roasted malts, some coffee and a touch of vanilla. A little bit of vanilla on the palate, with roasted malts, something boozy, dark chocolate and a little bit of coffee. Full body, soft on the palate. Lasting chocolatey finish. I guess Mr Churchill couldíve had some fine hours with this one. 120818 jtclockwork (16443) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 31, 2010
