COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of three limited release ciders in our triple brett threat series, "Saison Brett" is fermented with saison ale yeast harvested from our saison reserve and brettanomyces that were cultured and grown at Cider Creek. This cider has a funky brett nose, citrus, white pepper and earthy notes, followed by a dry, sour finish.

500ml brown bottle. Pours out a clear headless washed out yellow. The nose has a lot of sweet ripe apple, expected some yeast notes, but they aren’t there. Taste - sour! Very tart and lemony, a touch of white wine, very sharp and crisp. Finishes ultra dry and sour. Overall a tart and crisp sour cider. Tastes a lot lighter than 6.9% Nicely done.

Rating #2459 - 2016.04.23 - Bottle from CBI. Clear, pale, faintly yellow colour, fairly carbonated, bubbly foam dissipates rapidly. Aroma is fresh cut apples, decent brett funk, mild sour apple. Palate is more of the same. light sweet notes, balanced by the dryness provided by the ripened fruit and alcohol, great brettish sour notes. Not boozy in the slightest though, very drinkable. Crisp, balanced, delicious.

FIRST RATING.
Wow, look at the clear pour on this one:

Pours almost as light as water. Aroma of straw, apples and light funk. Taste is initially sour, then finishes sweeter. Ample carb. Not as dry or funky as I would have liked, but it’s a good attempt. Very thin mouthfeel. Semi dry, lightly tart finish. Decent.
