COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cidre Mousseux Doux

This aromatic and slightly acid cider expresses the union of the "Pomme Raisin" and the "Bohnapfel" two typical cider apples grown in the old traditional orchards of Fribourg. The "Bohnapfel" is a very hard apple when collected which needs two month ripening in boxes before pressing. SWEET.

Bottle from Welschland, vintage 2016. Pours clear golden with a big head, rather short lived, but constantly bubbling thereafter. Aroma is apples, apple flesh, flour, floral. Body is medium, sweet and fruity, with a strong fizzy carbonation massaging the tongue, softly tart but not sour. Clean apple taste and really not much else, rather straight. Sweet palate as promised. Not overly complex, but a very good experience nonetheless.

Sample at a Systembolaget Tasting. Fruity smell with cellarnotes and a light note of sulfur. Cleaner taste with apple juice. A refreshing substitute for beer this summer.

> Very simple, sweet cider with great carbonation and juiciness

[ Bottle ][ 75cl c&c ][ _angst_ ][ $13 ][ Reidel Vinum XL Pinot Noir ][ 5/22/14 ]
>> 2012 Vintage. High carbonation, champagne bubbles and fizzing out soda foam. Nose is fresh apple juice, apple sauce, salty, bright. Taste is the same. Mild white sugar, low acidity, medium sweetness. Very sweet for French style cider but demi-sec for American/British. Comes across as really good sparkling cider you might have had as a child while the adults drank alcohol. Simple and grate. Normally I wouldn’t rate a sweet cider like this a 3.9, but I tanked it fast so I guess the brain doesn’t lie. Tingly palate with just a touch of tannin really does it for me. I wish this came in little bottles and was sold in the grocery store.

>!< super simple, white sugar, could be mistaken as n/a kids cider

Bottle shared with GT2. Pours a clear, apple juice with fizzing out champagne head. Fresh and straightforward apple juice, apple sauce aroma, hints of jasmine. Taste is fairly sugary, apple sauce, apple crumble- simple but delicious, like biting into a red apple. Almost the opposite of the other Vulcain we tried.
