Sampled from bottle @ The Hague tasting. Hazy reddish color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, nicely bitter. Not bad at all. bhensonb (16263) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Capped 750 from Bine & Vine. Pours clear copper/amber with a slight frothy beige head. Aroma is malty. Suggesting an amber. Hints of chocolate. Full bodied. More hints of chocolate. It’s a tasty sort of amber. Most of the "grapefruit notes" seem to be lost. If approached in ignorance, interesting. Based on the bottle label, not so successful. As a standalone without preconceptions, it’s pretty good. If you like things like ambers. It is pretty hoppy for an amber. But California Common? Bottle shared at the "Lets celebrate the fact that Dean is already the Mayor of M&S Den Haag even though it’s only been open for 24 hours tasting!" thanks to Mrhangover. Pours hazy amber with an off white head. Aroma of pine, earthy hops, light wood and caramel. Flavour is light sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Bomber - thanks Eric! Mostly clear orange pour. White head. Smells a bit like sweat. Nice hoppy flavor and not too bitter. Not bad. hopscotch (11526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 10, 2014
Bottle... Clear deep-amber pour with an orange tint and a mid-sized, fluffy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The bouquet is nutty, biscuity and malty with supplementary notes of fruitcake and flora. Full-bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor is a near-replicate of the aroma – malty, nutty, biscuity toastiness playing nicely with medium-bitter, earthy hops. Finishes nutty, grassy and mildly bitter.

9/25/13. 750mL bottle from Grassroots. Whoa, hansolo down there is REAL #madbro about this one. Clear copper pour with a nice khaki head that laces like crazy. Decent aroma, caramel, bready, crackers, biscuits, and toast with some earthy hops, woody, hints of citrus. Lightly sweet flavor, mostly malty, biscuits, toasty, nutty - that specific biscuity taste of Fat Tire in a way - with citrus and earthy hop character. Not bad. 75cl bottle pours with a crystal clear body that supports a tall tan head of foam. The aroma is a little different. It seems floral, mineral, slightly earthy dry gravel and then some earthy lemon grass and some soft faint herbal notes. The taste is soft to supple with a mix of floral hops and malt sweetened earthy lemon grass. Behind those notes a thin layer of tangerine hard candy to caramel apple like sweet fruity esters help take this toward the finish. I’m getting more bitterness with pine hops as well as some biscuit malts as it warms. PorterPounder (8443) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Tallahassee, Fl. - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 750 capped bottle. slightly hazy medium copper pour, thick sticky eggshell white head, nice film of lacing, Aroma has a doughy, bready aroma with some light toffee notes. Flavor is chewy with some nutty accents, a touch of pomegranate fruitiness, some light citrus bitterness, a touch of green tea, a back end of doughiness. Mouthfeel has a nice stickiness to it, A solid collaboration from two of my favorite brewers that I just happened to visit this past calendar year. .
