COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An imperial sweet stout brewed with cherries and cacao nibs, which is then aged in bourbon barrels. This beer is brewed in collaboration with Mikkeller our generous friend from Copenhagen, Denmark. What you have here is a modest attempt to emulate the experience of biting into a chocolate-covered cherry candy. We hope you enjoy it but you never know what you’re gonna get.

That typical CCB imperial stout pour, sludgy and thick. Black in color with a brown head that has red outlines. Nose is sweet chocolate, cherry, vanilla and bourbon. Big chewy mouthfeel and taste follows the nose . Cherry , chocolate, Bourbon Damn good.

Black syrupy pour seeps from the bottle. Blackened malts, cherry chocolate, boozy warmth massages my throat. Nails the chocolate covered cherry goal.

You can’t get much better than this beer. Poured into a snifter pours dark black. Right away you can smell the bourbon and cherries. When it was cold the bourbon takes over. Warmed up it is much better. The cherries come out and thus beer is more amazing. I can’t say enough. Find it and drink it!

750ml bottle. Poured a black color with red edges and a small sized off white head. Oily body. By water rinse after I drank this, looked darker than some pale lagers! Chocolate and more chocolate. Sweet. Bourbon, marshmallows, and vanilla.

750mL shared at Woodshop 8. Pure ink pour like most CCB stouts, thinner reddish foam. Nose at first is pure soy sauce...moves to something pretty nice like thick black cherry pit. Taste is pure sugar, some ash, mild sour cherry as it warms. Takes a lot of warming and oxidation to really bring out the aroma.

Bottled 08.13.13. No head. Rich bourbon, cherry, not dominate, let's you enjoy the malts. Slight sweetness cut by a remote bourbon aspect. As rich as it gets, cherry chocolate. Sleeper beer, ultra smooth.

Tap. Pours black, brown head that goes away quickly. Nose is big cherres, sweet and tart, some chocolate, some barrel. Taste is huge sweet and tart cherries, saccharine sweetness, some chocolate, smoothness from the barrel but very little bourbon in the taste, even as it warms. Viscous syrupy mouthfeel.

Pours black with light brown head. Roasted malt, chocolate, bourbon and cherry flavors with a hint of coffee. Big sweet chocolate and cherry flavors with bourbon and roasted malts. Full body with minimal carbonation.

Old rate, sweet cherries and dark chocolate, a bit much on the sweetness, not bad.
